Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yes. Been feeling this way since 2019.
Same. The CL final and everything that has followed since, Poch looking beaten, bloody Mourinho, that 3 month manager search to end up with Nuno, a very brief bit of hope under Conte soon went pearshaped, the Stellini/Mason debacle and the current win one lose tedium have ground me down to complete apathy. No real high when we win or dissapointment when we lose. Just weary acceptance that this is now us. I stopped going spring 2020 and dont miss it at all which is probably the most damning thing.

You almost covered all the bases.....no mention of the laughable medical department? :paraticiwink:

Was pissed off for about 2 hours after yesterdays game and then it faded. Woke up this morning just feeling utterly bored of Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Anyone else feel the same?

I already know how this season is going to play out. We will lose the Carling Cup QF to a reinvigorated Man Utd. We will lose to the first decent side we play in the Europa in either the QF or SF. FA cup similar.

And we will end up somewhere between 6th & 9th in the league. We will watch a bit of entertaining football and probably win a few games we aren't expected to win while dropping points in games we should win.

At some point the fans will lose patience with Ange and he will be sacked. Might be the summer, might be sooner.

And then we will start the new "latest project Tottenham Hotspur" There will be a new manager lift for about 6 months and then the whole cycle will begin again.

Meanwhile other serious football clubs will compete for big trophies and they will cycle in and out for their turn at the trough.
While we erect new Hotels and find new interesting corporate ways to fleece the fans. Trying to stoke the illusion of competing at the top but when you pull back the curtain there is no wizard its just a bald cunt behind a curtain.

Nothing is changing and that's the boring and depressing part.

Just stuck in a cycle of perpetual mediocrity. I mean... we aren't a bad football club, we can play entertaining football and beat anyone on our day. But that's our ceiling.

Anyone else feeling the ennui?

100%.

I literally have to force myself to go to matches. When I am there I wish I was somewhere else.

The only good bit is seeing family/friends and some top TFCers. Otherwise, I have next to no interest.

Liverpool have a much better squad than us.

They also have star quality which we don't.
When a player starts talking to Liverpool about moving there, they tell him: "We're winners here. Winning is what we do. It dictates everything we do. Every day. You can't hack it? Jog on."

When a player starts talking to Spurs, he's told: "We're partake here. Winning is a great feeling, but it's okay if we don't...#wegoagain."

Levy appointed Ange cause he needed a nice bubbly chap who plays entertaining football, after getting us the opposite in Jose/Nuno/Conte.

That was a PR move, no more, no less. Just his way to appease the overall fanbase and keep the "oh well we're average but at least we're a fun watch and Ange says mate a lot" brigade on side...and spending money. Knew some of the media would love it too.

Certainly wasn't Levy showing ambition or expecting Ange to be the one taking us to those heights we so crave.

Nothing that man does is with the club's best interests at heart. Nothing. He's here to fill ENIC's boots and line his own pockets. Period.

So you don't think he looked knackered after 70 mins v Roma? Really?

"I don't believe..." well maybe believe what your eyes are seeing.
Porro looked knackered too. Big deal. Get over it and move on. I wasn’t aware footballers had to be protected from getting tired. They’re not babies.

We have sports scientists that manage their physical well being, leave it to them to judge not fans. Top players at big clubs should be fit enough to play twice a week, that’s what most of them do.

The keepers aren't good enough.

The defence ain't good enough.

The CM options aren't good enough.

The attack ain't good enough.

Our coaching staff is laughable.

Our board? Don't get me started.

The only ones who are good enough at Spurs are the (long-suffering) fans.

There's a reason we don't win anything, why top managers won't touch us with a borrowed dick, why elite players laugh at the idea of joining Spurs, why the media mock us.

With a rich history of unbridled optimism and never say die attitude in the face of adversity... :cautious: :D

I don’t even celebrate goals really anymore, I want to but I just can’t because I know the story.

We are the great partakers or pretenders in the league, footballs laughing stock.

Spurs fans are more than entitled to feel down, pissed off etc etc after years of being taken for fools by the club.

But 90% of them (*) still are great, positive, optimistic, happy chaps & gals, who still watch every minute of every game, sing their hearts out, clap...the lot. That's the reality.

Not saying that's what you was doing, but I find that taking swipes at Spurs fans a bit lame to be honest, especially coming from within our own ranks. Obviously I'm biased but still. Even if I wasn't a Yid, I'd have nothing but respect for the N17 crew. That's actually what I get from my mates who support other clubs...heck even the Blue scum and those mugs down the road.

It's okay to be happy with Spurs. Like it's okay not to be. Don't make one side or the other the better fans.

I don't see us winning too many games where that referee is in charge. He can't seem to get a hold on time waisitng at all. The game must have stopped for nearly 6 full minutes after the red card. We don't seem to handle them things at all. Basically we don't do the dark arts and everyone else does so if the ref allows it then we are at a big disadvantage. Ange needs to wisen up around the dark arts. They are here and here to stay unfortunately so we have to start doing it too

Spoke to 1882 1882 .

He wanted to apologise unreservedly to the forum. In particular reprobate reprobate Go on son and skywalker68 and anyone else that was compelled to reply.

No excuses, but in a nutshell fell off the wagon in spectacular style. His Jewish roots and upbringing have made him 'somewhat bitter' on the Jewish thing being used against Spurs.

As I said yesterday I will just add that 1882 1882 is lovely bloke in real life and you will not find a single TFC poster who has met him that would say otherwise.

We all make mistakes. Some unfortunately are in the public domain. Shame he has been cancelled for one mistake but that's modern life.

I for one would welcome him back.
On first reading I obviously thought he was just a bigot but from your post yesterday (and what someone else was saying, can't remember who) it was clear that's way off the mark. Knowing the context and what he meant, it's very harsh he's gone, even if his comment was ill judged. Can only say I'd welcome him back too. I never met him but remember him from back in the early days of this forum and he's always seemed a decent bloke.

I'm sure he is still reading the forum and will see this post. He will really appreciate it.

I went hard on him yesterday because to be honest I was genuinely mortified by it, and anti-Semitism really does seem to be an "acceptable" form of racism in this country for some reason and that really bothers me.

Knowing more of his background now I'm still a little stunned by what I read, maybe even more stunned I won't lie.

Maybe he needs some cool off time but if he really is as good a character and person as many here are indicating then maybe he deserves to be back.

Yeah same for sure, I've seen anti Jewish slurs on football forums and even on Spurs ones on the odd occasion, it's proper messed up. But I see what he was doing, like someone else said, satirising. Obviously, did not come off that way to most people and he's had a mare. Seems unfortunate if he can't return.
