A new manager could possibly improve our short term results. We'd become a more pragmatic team with a lower celing but a higher floor. We'd be less likely to win trophies and be able to beat the top teams, but we'd be alot better at grinding out wins against the lower teams.Well, by all the metrics, he should be sacked. Sacking him being a good choice is a different matter though. It depends on how much you trust Levy to replace him with someone who can do a better job within the structure the owners have created, which is frankly, a losing environment.
I think the real question is, is it possible that someone else coming in could do worse than Ange? Or is it more likely they will outperform him?
My guess is a new manager would get us back competing for top 4 as we'd have more consistency in the league but we'd have alot less flair to be able to beat the big teams so would be alot less likely to win a cup.
