But you're basing his ability on Bournemouth ambitions and expectations as well? So how is it any different.
I'm basing my estimation of him in how his side with a weaker squad and poorer resources are evidently being coached. I'm looking at them at corners at their shape with and without the ball, the way he has some technically limited players performing above their level. The in game substitutions, the game management.

Exactly like Deuterz Deuterz said Pochettino had Southampton with their limited resources and expectations well coached even Levy could see it. And by the way before the credulous rush to tell us about Iraola getting battered by Wolves I saw Sherwood batter Pochettino every time, and I still left them games KNOWING Pochettino was the better coach. Iraola is a better elite level.coach from the sample I have seen than Postecoglou.

On the platform Ange has built I'd be delighted if the next three hundred million was being spent by the Spaniard on his choices.

No matter what happens with Ange or the next manager, I can guarantee everyone of you we'll be back having this same conversation in 18 months about the next manager, regardless of how good they are at their current club or previous clubs before that. More people happy to blame the manager and wish for a new one than point to the real problem.

Social media has made supporting a football club unbearable due to people saying controversial statements that they don't believe in, just so they can get likes and interactions. That has spread to these forums and day to day convo.

This forum used to be a decent place to have a convo about Spurs with like-minded individuals, but no it's so divided it's impossible to have a good chat without being shot down. People wishing for a loss so they can fuel their agenda against players or a manger. If they win then they'll do whatever they can to play it down.

I'm out.

makes me laugh this. how on earth is this perceived to be good football anyway? whats good about it? the fact its entertaining for neutrals because we are so shit? good football is football that wins games, it doesnt have to be tiki taka, it can be straight out of serie A in the 90s where 1-0 wins were respected as clean professional jobs.
Absolutely nailed it. So refreshing to find on odd oasis of common sense among the steaming mound of bullshit dominating this thread.

Depends how you look at the game, I saw a side which was lacking alot of key players who played until the end, who went 1-0 up against a pretty solid Fulham side who had just had 7 days rest.

We had one player from the bench to change the game.
They were the better team for 90 minutes including the ten they played with ten men.

Yes we have injuries but I'm sorry it was poor all over the park. I'm not going to gloss it over it was awful, just not going to happen. We shouldn't be fearing Fulham and Ipswich at home.

So could they. They got in so many times just by switching the play to their right side. We were lucky to get a draw.
Yeah I think we were but I'm looking at what options Ange had.

Last season we struggled with a front 3 of Werner, Son and Johnson because they couldn't hold the ball up and yesterday we were back to that. Goes to show how important Solanke is to this side.

The amount of times ive read on here about Fulham being a decent side, we should get Marco Silva as a manager and yet we get a result with alot of key players out and it's 'we're shit'.

Some fans just bring on the misery themselves

Did you not watch the Fulham Brentford game on Monday nigth a few weeks ago? Harry Wilson came of the bench and scored two brilliant goals to win the game.

Laugh at me all you like. We'll see who wins the war
I wouldn't bother with the football manager guy, you'll notice alot of his posts on every thread are criticising something or someone about the club.

He isn't happy about anything unless its on the 'other matches' thread where he can big up other teams players or clubs.

Yeah I saw mate. The one notable thing Harry Wilson has done in the last maybe year and a half of his premier league career.

If only we could bring on definitely not championship level ballers like Cairney, Wilson and.. wait for it

RYAN FUCKING SESSEGNON

Then we’d really be cooking here. An absolute cookfest.

Short term fixes that ultimately got us nowhere in the long term. Thats what Conte was. Jol, Redknapp and Poch were brilliant but every other manager we had ultimately failed in terms of progressing us as a team. I think Ange has progressed us.

This is a long term project - we aren't signing ready made players who can help us to win now. We are buying all young players and thinking 3/4 years ahead and the style of football we want is what Ange offers. It might not work in the end, but thats the club goal. We aren't going to just sack him, become pragmatic and go all out for a top 4 this season. It seems that there is a big disconnect between what some fans on here want and what the club are trying to do.

On this post, which I said I would come back to.

For Redknapp, Jol and Pochettino (arguably may have changed ,since), there were 2 things of note.

The first was that it was their one big chance at a big club

The second is hat each responded to and seemed to thrive at the challenge. And it's on this point where there are both similarities and difference between them and Postecoglou.

I think there was also separation between Pochettno and the other two. He was wafer thin from delivering, and probably should in all truth, but maybe it's fair to say Levy could have backed him at that critical point. How I am unsure but somehow, probably yes. One player at that right moment and this might all be moot.

Importantp also to forget what other club's are doing at present. Not helpful.

I think you are being a touch generous or showing more confidence than the evidence suggests in relation to Postecoglou but do think we as fans need to see what the club is trying to do (if this is actually a strategy) and also to accept that if it's not Postecoglou, the next manager will have to buy into the model, more than the club acceding to demand for a changed approach.

So it's not a challenge to your post but it's also saying I am 50:50, and maybe less thatn that in believing that Postecoglou has what it takes.
