Match Tottenham v Chelsea - December 8th - 4:30pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Levy will pull the trigger on Ange today I reckon, and we’ll all be distracted again from the true rot of our club
Can't see Levy sacking Ange yet.

If all the negatives in our style of play are Ange's fault, then all the positives have to be attributed to Ange as well.
The side hasn't played well recently but still has the 2nd best attack, 6th best defence and 4th best goal differential in the league.

Last transfer window we bought Odobert from relegated side, Gray from Championship, Bergvall from Swedish league and Solanke who is not really a big goal scorer. That is not buying to win anything this season.

Injuries haven't been kind to us so far, but our best squad can definitely compete for top 4 and a trophy this season.

We ‘will’ look like idiots? ‘We’ already do and have done for a long time.

‘We’ can do nothing - save for one half hearted Levy Out chant in at the start of the game yesterday (which is poor tbh).

We just have to look on while the club we’ve chosen to ‘support’ gets flushed down the kharsi
There were a couple of half hearted ones in the second half too but the ground hasn’t turned in the slightest- don’t think we’re anywhere close to sacking Ange-and personally think it would be a mistake to at the moment.

In North Upper yesterday and everyone around me was fuming at Ange, his demeanor, and tactics. I think the fan base - at least those going to games - is turning.

What was disappointing is the lack of anti-Levy stuff. We’re such a cucked fanbase.

He'll probably be on red alert and putting out feelers and plan as the situation evolves. It's possible Ange could save himself yet, but, really Levy will probably take a week or so at least before pulling the trigger on anything.
Yep that’s where I see us at personally.

I think Ange’s Spurs have been cooked for a while. The moronic decision to confront the fans last week sealed it.

I was kinda expecting a hammering and a real toxic atmosphere, was hoping Daniel Levy would have an uncomfortable night getting pelters off the fans all night. Instead they gave us false hope only to snatch it away and embarrass us even further as now we will have to hear about the day Chelsea came back to score four from two down.

I want every member of the board gone, 95% of the playing and coaching staff gone, In fact everyone associated with this regime gone right down to the guy who cleans the toilet, We need a total refresh.

This club is an absolute embarrassment. We deserve to be mocked by the entire footballing community.
Good plan, why don't you give them a leg up by getting the ball rolling?

I disagree- a lot of these are, or should be, predictable scenarios which you anticipate and drill on as a good coach. Other teams seem to be better at being able to do this right now than us. I have to believe that's a coaching issue.
Bollocks, two brain fart penalties are not his fault, apart from picking them to play. And they are two of our better players.
The two goals were spectacularly good, well taken goals that Forster had no chance of stopping.
That's the Forster that our fickle, whiney and toxic fan base have been slagging off - who was probably our MOTM.

We just played the form team of the league who've been battering teams by healthy margins, and they had to dig deep to beat us, - without our two best defenders. The two non penalties they scored they did through a crowded defence, so the anti AP people need to wind their necks in about tactics, unless you are now going to start shitting the guy for allowing the players to try to save the game.
The sooner you guys face facts instead of making them up, so you can flog your latest scapegoat - Ange isn't the reason we are where we are, it's the paucity of talented players that's the problem, and that's through a lack of investment by the owners of the club.
There isn't a manager on the planet who is going to turn this current squad into a dominant and unbeatable team that harvests silverware.

And changing managers more often than most of you change your underwear, is definitely not the solution.

If he pulls the trigger and Mason is in charge we will look like a bunch of idiots.

This is naive at best (albeit I do agree about the composition of the squad).

- The first goal is a banging strike, but watch Enzo roam from our MF without a tracker. He makes the run off Sancho, which Dragusin has to cover, this allows Sancho to cut inside into an uncongestead area (good strike though obviously).

- The same thing happened again when Dragusin put a nice last min tackle in on Jackson in the first half. We were left 4 on 4 at the back whilst pressing as no one bothered with Enzo and Dragusin got stuck between him and Jackson. It was schoolboy.

- The 2 pens are brain farts, but being impatient and trying too hard to win the ball back have been symptoms of this team for a long long time. We have no ability to just defend our box.

- Also bear in mind what came before the 2 pens. Enzo walzed out of a press from a throw with about 4 of our boys around him. Then Palmer did the same dancing through our defence.

- For the 4th, it came from our corner where the pathetically feeble Son (who basically plays like he’s scared of getting hurt all game) meekly coughs up the ball at our corner and left us with a 3 on 2. Their player dallied (I think it was Neto) but they should have created a better chance before the pen.

- There was a chance just after half time - Sancho gets the ball on the corner of box. Both Porro and Johnson go to the man with the ball (standard fair for our team) leaving Cucurella spare who ran off Sancho. Sancho played a one-two with the completely free Cucurella and in spite of being pressed by 2 of our players initially, the cunt Sancho wasn’t tracked by either. Forster made a decent save.

- The chance Palmer missed the ball in the first half, again was a case of Enzo peeling off MF completely unmarked or unchecked. Palmer should have scored.

And if this was one-off game with these issues you’d let it fly, but for too long we have seen:-

1) Really poor marking of off-ball runners. Generally this creates massive overloads for the opponents in wide areas.

2) A predisposition to always try to win the ball back instead of being content to “sit in” and not allow chances. Because of this we gamble so often and that leads to chances (see Bowen goal against).

3) We continue to play players who cough the ball up timidly in good attacking positions and allow dangerous counters. If you exclude Kulu as a wide player (Ange doesn’t want to play him there), we don’t have a wide player with good ball retention. Son and Brennan are pathetically weak players who cannot deal with opposition pressure well (particularly if it’s physical).

I’m not yet Ange out but exonerating him for these glaring tactical issues is folly.

Does anybody expect a dominant and unbeatable team that harvests silverware? Come on.

I expect us to win home games on a regular and maybe a few decent away wins. We should be hovering around 5th/6th with this squad. Which is still possible at a later stage in the season, but we are throwing away so many home games, it is going to be tough to turn this around.

Yesterday he started an injured Romero and VDV - and the shenanigans tactic actually worked out! 2-0 up. And he AGAIN didn't think of getting the game under control. Yes we had good chances in the second half, but if he just calmed down with this bullshit approach of complete chaos for 90 minutes, we would be off so much better.

I wish it had worked out, but this is not going to work out. He is going to get fired, no matter how much any of the fans want him to stay. Yes, we will have another tiring manager hunt again. No chance he will be here for any longer. There are no patterns of play visible anymore. The crisp passing from last season is gone. He is pushing Porro and Udogie way too much upfield, leaving spaces for the opponent to attack all game long. You can play a high line for parts of the game - not 90 minutes (not with this squad atleast). And some, not all of them, some injuries are purely down to the style of play. Johnson is an outlet, but not dangerous enough in counter-attacking situations. The Son-Udogie overlap doesn't work (and we are also at a point where Son is 32 and is losing his speed). He plays Maddison in the deep ends and Kulusevski at the 10.

Yes, always changing the manager isn't the solution. However, Ange is a manager, who is not going to work out here anymore. And right now we are still at an easier part of the season. His last chance will be those league cup games if he pulls his shit together and focuses on that title.

This whole "lack of investment" line is still doing the rounds? despite us spending close to 400m and being the highest net spenders in the league since Ange has been in charge? and the same person is actually accusing others of making things up? what?

It's not the lack of investment that's been the issue it's the lack of quality investment which Ange himself has again confirmed it was him that wanted to go the youth route. Going the youth route is fine but not at the expense of improving the first 11 further which is exactly what we needed at the time.

In terms of youth we have already purchased Bergvall, Vuskovic, Phillips and Veliz for near enough 40m. We already had players like Devine, Moore and Lankshear on our books who all look like quality young players but ANGE wanted to fork out 35m on Archie Gray and another 30m of Odobert rather then securing the signing of a proven established player that would have made a massive difference (instead we are continuously starting a near 33 year old Son who..let's be honest...isn't contributing much anymore).

The Brennan Johnson signing was 40m. Ive defended him numerous times on here and last season I was pleasantly surprised by his contribution in terms of assists but at Forest he was never that type of player..ever...and at the the time it was clear we desperately needed a winger type player that could beat his man yet we went for him? Just odd.

That being said our squad is definitely of tbe required quality to be performing better then it should. Of course not good enough to challenge but on an upward trajectory.

We have more losses than wins and are 11th in the league so it's not just about last night you absolute fucking donut.
Clueless doesn't even begin to cover it.

Go back to sleep Mick it's nap time

They’re appallingly coached. They don’t follow the basics because of that. Udogie is actually getting worse the longer he’s here.
Thank you. I've been telling people for so long it's boring for everyone else. Constantly trying to deal with the denial. The people saying there's no point sacking him because Levy, they are wrong.

I'll tell you why I think it's important to get someone better even if they are not long term Ange Postecoglou will physically and tactically ruin our young footballers. Udogie has regressed horribly and so isVDV. This point in a players development is so important making them understand what adult football positionally and mentally is all about this playground football is going ruin their bodies and set them back years.

Udogie now looks a clueless shadow of the player that arrived. I don't know if he's inverted or overlapping half the time he needs taking back to the the fundamentals of being a solid LB distance to the winger relation to the line, side on checking the space your oponent wants to run into. He is NOT being coached it must be obvious to even the stupid.
