Match Tottenham v Chelsea - December 8th - 4:30pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Had a night off last night - too dejected and fucked off to be on here. Its been said so many times but this is the beginning of the end for Ange (rightly or wrongly) and we have seen it so many times before.

Our summer transfer window was ridiculous - getting rid of older pros like Hojberg and getting three teens with fuck all top level experience in was utterly baffling without some more experienced starters to go with them. No top winger and no top number 6 which I thought were an absolute necessity to even stay where we were in 5th. We fucked it up AGAIN.
This is all down to Levy scrimping on wages, buying one starter in Solanke for big money does not cut it with the state of our squad.
However, I have serious doubts about Ange now. With what hes been given and the squad we have though young theres no way on earth we should be where we are in the league having lost 7 games. Its pathetic. We can blame injuries and individual errors all we want - the buck stops with the manager and his tactics.
What I saw last night was a headless chicken team that is only good when it presses the fuck out of the opposition and forces errors and goals. You cannot play this way for 90 mins a game every fucking game 3 times a week, its completely unsustainable. We all know this so why doesn't he? How many hamstring injuries and defeats does it take to get this?
When we don't or can't press relentlessly we get beaten - its that simple. There is zero control over any game, our tactics don't change in game and we never ever learn how to adapt and take breathers, get together and tighten up for even ten fucking minutes to get a hold of a game we are leading in the first half last night being a case in point. Fucking two nil up early and we continued to make it a basketball game, soul destroying honestly.
All this comes down to Ange and if after 18 months in charge he can't change this AT ALL he is not the man.
Pointless sacking him now imho although I fully expect another couple of defeats before Christmas.

Rangers and Manu are must wins to save his job and I am even questioning whether a cup run is good enough now to keep him long term. We are getting worse and worse.

The guy actively stifles his own bloody tactic of wanting to have pacy wingers get in behind and spam crosses into the box Fifa style, by setting his defenders so high up the pitch that there's no space to play in.

Even a tactical dunce such as myself can see this, and yet our manager can't!

I’m just surprised that many posters on here favour waiting until the end of the season to get rid of the fraud

So yes let’s write the season off and watch many more of our players deteriorate under this chancer’s alleged coaching methods!

Got to agree mate - the fbs in the final third all the time pisses me off, absolutely no reason whatsoever to clog up such a small section of the pitch all the time and leaves us woefully exposed as soon as the ball is lost any where on the pitch.
Have said since start of last season at least vary this and drop one back to have a back three for counters and create some space for the 8's and wingers.
We don't have the Makelele / Kante no 6 to support this system either - we have square pegs in midfield who can't do the job.

Without resorting to Google, can you list the world class coaches that are doing so well for Liverpool right now? Or Woolwich?
According to Bing.com Slot's team is:

Spike Hulshoff
John Heitinga
Fabian Otte
Claudio Taffarel

And Woolwich:

Carlos Cuesta
Albert Stuivenberg
Miguel Molina
Inaki Cana

Many I've never heard of, and?

Tell me what you've seen from our players over the last 18 months that leads you to believe there is any kind of worthwhile coaching going on at our club? Being a great player has no bearing whatsoever on whether one will be a great coach or manager I know, that doesn't automatically mean that being a bang average player will make a good coach though.

So Ange is responsible for Udogie not giving his all on the pitch? For going into challenges half-hearted? For not tracking back like a madman after he's made a shitty pass to the oppo near their box? For going to ground or opening the door to Neto/Palmer when any 6yo kid knows you gotta stay on your feet and take him towards the byline/on weaker foot?

Cause weirdly, Porro, who's also a FB under Ange, seems to have no problem putting a shift in week in week out. He can't defend for squat, but at least he works hard for the team. You don't see him give up like Udogie, Biss or Johnson do.

Are Ange & his coaches to blame for the system, lack of in-game management etc? Yes. But it's not their fault some of our lads are lazy as fuck and don't care about the shirt they're wearing.
As ever, it's a mixture of both. I agree with you about some of our players, I've made this point many times and won't repeat myself.

But suicide-ball doesn't work at this level, and won't. It's hopelessly unbalanced and the style is contributing to many player injuries.

who do you watch?? Your agenda is happy clapping shit performance after shit performance.
so if something goes right its anges genius when things go wrong its the players fault. What about all the other games weve been shit in? All players fault or anything to do with tactics? Why do we have so many injuries? Players being soft or constant high intensity?
You say im ignoring them small things youve detailed. It looks like youre ignoring the very pic picture. His tactics arent
Yeah the coach is the issue🫢

You're right, and sometimes in the final third things are way too congested because of that.

I think his recent presser when asked if it had been a mistake in hindsight to not sign some experienced first team upgrades rather than buying young players for the future. He doubled down on project youth and confirmed that it was his idea.

It made my mind up that he isn't just a yes man to ENIC, he is just clueless.

I could kind of understand if it him just towing the party line to keep the boss sweet but he's put his name on that transfer window. And now he's complaining about injuries and the squad being too thin.

Unforgiveable on its own
