Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

ok hoping that Iraola is somehow Poch reincarnated I get it. baring in mind that Iraola has only won the Cypriot Super Cup whatever that is in his entire playing and coaching career

you konw, I hope it is Iraola just for the predictable incoming he's out of depth, he isn't a winner comments when it fails to yield results in 12 to 18 months.
It will be most amusing for me reading the exact same garbage from the same people because we're aren't fighting for titles with mid table players

Battlestar Galactica reference? Epic! 😍

And you're right, of course. Although I think Iraola gets more time than, say, Potter or Frank before the usual sacky sack suspects turn.

Whoever it is needs to play the kind of football that suits Bergvall, Gray etc... Imagine we got another 5 at the back no midfield manager. Actually - what am I thinking: that's exactly what will happen :D

Look, it's clear from your username that Spurs aren't particularly important to you.

We know Levy is a problem. We know. It's been done to death on here. But the manager can also be a problem.

Qualification is not guaranteed. Why do people keep insisting on this? Why do so many have this attitude that Spurs can afford to drop these points because we'll pick up the next ones. Well newsflash, every time someone says that we proceed to drop the next ones too.

As for square pegs and round holes, maybe the manager needs to adapt somewhat as well then? He's the one hammering things into the wrong holes after all.
The previous person who replied to my message seems to believe that Ange is a bigger problem than Levy. Why there are fans like that around there is no hope

Bang on.

Several pages back some Rangers fan ( baxterboy ) came on here saying don't look at the SPL matches, check out how Celtic performed in Europe when they face decent teams. He was spot on
And look at how much better they are doing in Europe since he left.
Had that hammering from Dortmund, but otherwise unbeaten in their other 5 fixtures. Good win RBL, good draw away at Atalanta.

He's lost me this last month. Really don't see a way back now and things feel a toxic as they have been under anyone
Finally we seem to be aligned on something.

At least we will have tried to stem the alarming decline we are witnessing.
Are you seriously suggesting we just let this fraud stay and carry on until we are broken beyond repair and spend the next 10 years celebrating survival with Everton and West Ham?

Let’s look at the coaching staff in general. Ange has said he tells them what he wants and then lets them get on with it. Except for goal no specialist attack, defence or set piece coaches, it’s all don with the in house coaching team.Ryan Mason apparently takes charge of the attack for God’s sake ?…
And the results over the last 13 months reflect the lack of proper coaching.

Is anyone expecting us to be fighting for titles with this lot? I would expect someone to come in and make us look like a half decent, coherent, competitive side rather than a hungover Sunday morning pub team.

It doesnt have to be Iraola, i mean Brighton plucked a 31 year old out of a minor Bundesliga team. What they've previously won matters cock all as we're seeing now.

I don't have unreasonable expectations. I've supported Spurs for enough decades to know not to expect very much.

I want us to look like we're going somewhere or improving. I want to be competitive. I want to see we're trying something.

Do we look like we've improved any over last year? No. Quite simply no. Has the squad gotten better? No. I mean fucking hell, for all the shit he used to get on here I would have killed for Hojbjerg to be playing last night.

It just doesn't seem to be going anywhere. That's the concern. If we'd even lost to Rangers last night but you could see glimpses of something it would be different. But it's the same old shit as last week, as the week before, as the week before.

We can bang on about budgets and recruitment but fuck me we've had our pants pulled down by Rangers, Ipswich, Palace, Fulham. In Europe we've looked pretty ropey in every game. We needed Djed Spence to rescue us against a heavily rotated Coventry (and promptly forgot he existed).

This is why it's puzzling to me some are arguing so passionately for Ange. Like... Where's the progress? That's all I want. Gradual improvement.

Amazing, that's exactly what i said. Give a 10 year contract extension to Ange . well done:pocheyes:

Managing Bournemouth and then managing Spurs, night and day. How often does it work out going from smaller club to bigger club. Yes managing in Scotland is easier but he has experience of managing a big club.
