Its possible he's been included in EPL squad for various reasons.
Not a lawyer but just possibly if he's not included when we have spaces in that squad, he might have the basis for a claim of constructive dismissal if he has no means of playing professional football, which might mean paying him outstanding wages and 'damages'. If Amge doesn't pick him, that come down to a judgement call that there are other players at Spurs thought to be better suited to Spurs team. Of course that might be rubbish, but who knows ?!
Maybe he’s looking for the big payout next year. Let him sit in the reserves next year he will get a small signing on fee a normal continental wage, like 1/4 he gets now.
Contract ends June 2025, if he has any sense he'll try to sign up at another club in Jan.
Am not holding my breath they will offer higher wages than Spurs so he'll probably stay until end of season or try to negotiate a pay out in Jan.
