Match Tottenham v Manchester United - Carabao Cup - Thursday 19th at 8PM

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Maybe I’m missing something, but why do we keep those two if they are worse than Forster? They are 26 and 25, so it’s not as if they’re kids with a big future.

I think meeting the home grown quota is a major part of it.

Home grown quota definitely seems to be the only thing, we’ve shown no interest in using them and the loans they’ve had haven’t shown us to be missing anything as far as I’m aware.

Club trained rather than home grown I think. That's really the part that we struggle mightily with ATM, and the only thing that will solve that is time, as we've brought in quite a few that will end up as HG in the next few years, along with the academy prospects like Moore, Lankshear, Dorrington etc al.

I'd like to think that we'll be looking to upgrade on both Austin and Whitman, if the club don't think they will make it. It's hard for us to know, as we have seen relatively little of either of them.

Yeah, tbh I think we’ve painted ourselves into a corner somewhat with quotas and some bad squad management. I don’t think Austin or Whiteman are seen as anything special, I think they are quite literally still here to serve a quota which we’re hoping in the next years will be served by outfield players counting toward it allowing us to potentially move them on.

Just re watching the match and I'm convinced son meant that from the corner as Klu tried it earlier in the 2nd half of must have spoken about it before the game?

My heart rate has just about come down to normal after last night.
If I hear what a great game it was for the neutrals once more, I'll go dolally. I'm not a neutral and I would have loved it if we had shut up shop when we scored the third. But no, we had to give them not one, but two, gifts.
I thought Spence and Biss had good games and less said about Big Fraser, the better! Having said that, it didn't cost us the game and hopefully, he's got them out his system.
Good to catch up with Nutter-Naylor Nutter-Naylor , Shades Shades . Spurshaker Spurshaker and East Mid Yid East Mid Yid , and delighted to see 1882 1882 in good form.
The game was obviously too much for one poor guy - apparently he had a heart attack on a train from Northumberland Park to Stratford, hope he's OK. Watching Spurs should come with a health warning.

Yeah - I didn’t feel at any point that we’d get mugged by Man U. You said you bet even the most deluded fans on here didn’t feel safe at 3-0 up. I did so I’m acknowledging I’m deluded. There wasn’t a worried vibe in the ground near me at all.
Really?
Even after Brighton and Chelsea?
Even at 3-2 you didn't feel like it was happening again?

Wow. That's blown my mind.
And did you call yourself Ms Deluded earlier?

Exactly what Paul Hawksbee said on Talksport about neutrals...he also suggested Levy installs Defibrillators under each seat!
