Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Per DJ Check Complete DJ Check Complete in the Ange thread:

"Since the Chelsea 9 man collapse he’s 17-6-21 in the PL with a 38% win rate. With the 8 wins and 2 draws his full win percentage is about 50%."

It seems like we can go pretty low indeed...

I made an error it’s 41 % 19-6-21.

Family get-together today, and my gooner brother-in-law couldn't wait to tell me we had lost, and was tried to get a rise out of me, by saying that we'll be lucky to stay up. I resisted the urge to bite, by focussing on the fact that his annoying smugness was somewhat beer-induced, whereas I was on the Typhoo, and could rise above it with a clear head. However, I could not help thinking that finishing in the top 10 seems unlikely, and we could be in a world of hurt at the end of the season, the way things are going.

Fair play, I would have probably fucked the family get-together by decking that cunt.

The least confrontational reply I could come up with, was that they'd finish yet another season without winning any major honours, and that there is no trophy for finishing above us. Very weak, but for the sake of the family, I had to become Kofi Annan for a few minutes. Love the GIF by the way 🤣.

Save us from relegation

I lived through 1977, and missed just three games home and away that season.

Here and now i am worried, and you can all laugh all you want.

"Too good to go down" was uttered by all in the press, including from Jimmy Hill and Brian Moore to name but two.

I thought one win and we are off again, up the league.

Wolves, Scouse Newcastle, Woolwich, Everton all coming up. Anyone want to bet me we will take more than a point?

This is a more serious situation than many of us think, because I thought the very same way in 1977.

My fear is that these players would crumble if we end up in a relegation battle. They’re mentally fragile as it is. They can’t get a result when it matters (or haven’t been able to in the past number of years), and I can’t see them putting things together if we end up in an “every game matters” stretch. I just really think we’re too good to be in the mix.

Man for man that 77 side was better.

People in here will laugh, as I did in 77 when every man and his dog were saying "too good to go down".

We are not, and buying more kids in January who's balls haven't dropped is no more the answer to success as it was last Summer.

When I listen to Ange it's like listening to a man who see's no flaws in his plan, but set's no ambitions. In short a clueless snake oil salesman who promises more of the same medicine is good for you.

It's patently not, never has been, even with a fully fit squad.

I think you're are dead on about ambition. Everton "process" needs to lead somewhere. Where is somewhere and what's around about the travel time?

That's the problem with the communication. Talking in mysteries only works when you're winning. When you're losing people find fault in absolutely everything.

He really does need to come out and say some solid plans for the rest of this season. He needs to personally put out some markers for the supporters.

He owes the supporters and the club that.

you are absolutely right. The injuries are terrible. And they do to an extent allow for breathing space. But then it’s also fair to say that in a 50+ game season the squad has to be up to quality / standard. And it’s just not. Outside of half them the drop off in quality is stunning. And to dig deeper, you have only 3 CB. One CF. 3 keepers who are at best questionable and two of which have never kicked a ball in top flight football. And then you have players like Regulion, who is either wanted or not wanted, not good enough or good enough to play. It’s a total mess mate. I don’t know who is to blame really, but it’s true Ange agreed to all of these compromises.
Pretty much what I've been saying all season. Add to this the injury list, and people have to have someone to be given a public hanging.

Was today another moral victory Mick ?
Given who we had available - to spend 90 minutes battering the home team in front of their support, then I know whose football I'd rather watch. But if tightly packed defences and breakaway wins are what excite you then Conte and Mourinho' s football must have been sexual heaven for you.
You do know I'm a Spurs supporter - don't you? Do you think I enjoy watching us lose?

If we had a fully fit squad and a better depth of a higher calibre of players, then APs football would have us in the top 3.
My argument is that people are flogging the wrong horse.

you seem to support the manager I don't
we are missing 3 of our back 5 (maybe for 2 months or more) our backups are not of the calibre needed to go on that long, the manager has know this all season, so once we lost the back 3 players WHY hasn't he changed the system once he know it would be long term ?
he can't bring in new players till Jan, So he is willing to chance it playing his way for 5/6 games till the window opened

The outcome yesterday was the same as usual when we come up against a tough team. We have no ability to beable to grind out any type of win or draw. We did create a few chances but teams know how to set up against us and if they are to a decent level we get beat.

Admittedly most of our defeats have been by one goal (excluding Liverpool) but it's either an 'exciting' or 'thumping' win or nothing. There is no in between.

I was prepared to give Ange time at the start of the season as I did feel we had been unlucky in a few games but right now things are not looking great and tbh he will end up getting himself sacked if results do not improve anytime soon.

I’ll bet anything in this world that we get more than a point from those games

Lost the same number of games as Ipswich, three more than Everton.

Just go all in on the Europa League and rotate in the league from this point because qualifying for Europe via the league is done.
Great do give up any semblance of a decent league position. That is the attitude of teams who end up in free fall and get relegated. Also one who is not a serious club.

Great post. Hits the nail on the head.

It’s just sad to watch. It’s a situation where no matter what happens, sack Ange, keep him, nothing is going to change.

It’s just so so depressing.
That is a defeatist attitude. If you take the constant that’s levy out for now the only variable that be changed is the manager. Regardless of change at the top surely another coach or manager can do better than Ange under the same circumstances. Yday we looked devoid of any nous to create good chances. That is down to the manager. His attacking philosophy only works when we have space to play. If a team either presses us like palace and dippers or sits in a low block we look more puzzled than Stan laurel.

Solanke was an average signing imo. Not even 20 per cent of kanes ability.
Yes agreed didn’t think he was worth the £65M last min signing even though Ange said they had been working on it all summer. He does have certain attributes but not real quality. One thing however is why arnt we crossing the ball for him? Dippers were crossing the ball v us at every opportunity. Although doesn’t help himself as so often his not even in the 6 yard box.

What do you think then? 4 at best?

Everton have tightened up, Newcastle and Woolwich have out number atm. Wolves are seemingly resurgent and beat us home and away last year.

Liverpool have such an easy FA Cup game they can go first team in the LC semi. And just dicked us without getting out of second gear.

Out of 12 league points and our predictable play style where are the points coming from?

One thing that peeves me a bit on here sometimes, people having a dig at Spurs fans who shell out thousands on this club every season, as if it's the fans' fault. But then again given the animosity on here no surprise I guess 😂

The real fans travel home and away and over land and sea. Pre season tours as well. Never miss 1 game.

They are the OGs. Anyone else is just a part timer.

Hard facts.
