If Brentford win today vs Brighton we'll be 12th in the table with more or less half the season played. If Brighton win we'll be 5 points away from the top half of the table.

It's hard to understand how a more clear signal as to Ange's underperformance could be conveyed.

I would say marginally more crippling for Ange but when you say "dramatically much better" almost none of them won anything.
They all had far better results in the league.

Stop trying to pretend like the world is completely binary - you either win a trophy or it's a failure. Through that lens nearly every manager in every league every year around the world is a failure.

And stop trying to pretend like unless Levy fucks off it's entirely futile. If that's your honest assessment, you should just go find another hobby because Levy isn't going to fuck off.

We spend enough to be far better than what we are right now. How shit we are right now has little to do with Levy.

We may be 12th in a few hours. We're level on points with fucking West Ham. We're closer in points to relegation than 4th.

Mason would do a better job with this fucking squad than Ange. Mason has more experience with real top flight football.

Conte in the end I wanted him gone after he refused to return but even after that press conference I was Conte in. Also called it as soon as the transfer window ended that it would be problem. The lack of a RWB and the failure to get Bastoni made the future easy to see and Conte's mood changed the moment the window closed.

This summer I called the problems as soon as Werner came in on loan, especially after Ange had basically said he wasn't fussed about him coming back.

In both cases I was still intentionally bullish about our chances because I always am but the coming trouble was there for anyone with eyes on both occasions.

The Levy apologists will talk about net spend and other bumph but the ambition of this club is on full display every summer.
i'm no levy apologist and think the club could and should spend more but at the end of the day it's the manager's job to enact the club's plan and if they won't do it they get the sack. ange's plan isn't compatible with the club's and we're seeing the results of that disconnect. he has to go sooner rather than later

Winning is the definition of binary. You win or you don't.

I would love to be proven wrong and I go into each season and competition intentionally deluded that we have a chance but every season seems to end the same, maybe sometimes 4th, maybe sometimes 8th. Right now we are 3 places below the range but there are extenuating circumstances and there is nothing i can see that would prevent Ange from getting us back into 8th and the bottom of that range.

I do think it's futile with Levy running the books but I'm not going to leave because I'm a Spurs fan not an ENIC Hotspurs fan. I was a fan before they bought the club and I will be one after they leave.

What makes you think you have the right to tell other fans how or even if they should support the club?

I can guarantee if we get potter or Iraola, we’ll have a bounce and then within 18 months everyone will be slagging their tactics off and wanting them gone, because there is no way any manager in our range can make us successful with the ENIC business model

Disagree- I think the perfect manager for Daniel is out there. I really hope he can find true managerial love, for our sakes.

Careful mate, people will start telling you not to be a Spurs fan if you say things like that.

Apparently you should just fuck off and stop supporting the club if you point out that crystal clear pattern we see play out every year or 2.

Honestly so much bullshit around regarding how every manager we've had has gone on to show their quality afterwards, and how wrong we were to sack them.

Redknapp sacked by us - Proceeds to manage QPR through to relegation

AVB sacked by us - I don't even know what he did after leaving us but I know he's now packed in managing

Sherwood sacked by us - Managed for another year and a bit before every club realised he wasn't built for the job

Pochettino sacked by us - Let down by the board greatly, during his time for sure. But his reputation has never been as hot as it was when he was with us. PSG fans wanted him out and Chelsea fans spent most of their time wanting anyone else but him.

Mourinho sacked by us - Has gone on to manage those European titans of Roma and Fenerbahce. His league performance with Roma was more than underwhelming and the only reason he was acclaimed for the Conference League is that he's an excellent salesman. He convinced the world it was an important trophy, when everyone spent the whole year mocking it. We were told we should be relieved when we were made to forfeit the Rennes game resulting in us getting knocked out.

Nuno sacked by us - Nice guy. Happy he's found somewhere he fits.. But do you think that the football we saw from Forest yesterday could ever work with us? No.

Conte sacked by us - The one that looks like he may go on to do good work. However, I think most of us accepted that he has always been a gifted coach. It's just that his attitude was piss poor for a lot of his time here.

These managers have all been hung out to dry by Levy and Enic. And they will always be the biggest issue with us until they're gone. There's no argument there. However, this idea that any manager we've had has gone from showing absolutely nothing at Tottenham, to being serial winners elsewhere is a lie. Any manager that has talent or is not completely past it has been able to show that at least to some degree at Tottenham.

I think everyone knows now that 4th to 6th is the limit of what is possible under Levy, at least until he gets the outside investment he’s looking for. It’s not possible to credibly challenge for trophies with our current wage structure.

Our fans are sensible enough to understand that a manager who reaches 4th place is doing the maximum that is realistically possible. That to me would be “success” and it’s something that both Poch and Conte delivered. If Ange was meeting that standard, there would be no ire towards him.

He can complain about injuries but his starting XI last night cost about £250m. There are no excuses for us being 11th.

Be surprised if negotiations have not been going on for weeks and if not would anyone be surprised with the Mason until end of season scenario again, let's face it the way the club is being run nothing would surprise you.

Maybe he’s being turned down by all and sundry again like during the last two managerial searches?

Whilst I think we are an attractive club to manage, the top level guys are far too intelligent to do it.

Pochettino worked because he is the best manager I have seen probably in this league at any club in improving and developing players individually. Poch might have had tactical and recruitment deficiencies but his player improving skills are Messi level. It’s why he perfectly fitted us because it mostly buying unfinished players.

Unless we get Poch or some Poch like manager I think it will be 18 months then sacked.

I do think losing a World class Kane plus the obvious decline of Son is massive as well. We have to all intensive purposes lost Kane and Son. Ange aside we need an elite attacker again.

I'm not sure we are an attractive proposition anymore.
Too many within the game including managers, agent's, are too clued up on levys antics now to take a chance on us.
I don't know who would come in, I just know that ange needs to go, as it won't work with him, with or without a fit squad.

Was Ange and his high line to blame for destroying Micky's hamstrings before he came to spurs? He was out with a hamstring injury for 3 months the season before he came to spurs. Did Wolfsburg play a 'crazy' highline too?

I'm not a physio but could it be that him being 6ft 4 and the quickest player in the league makes him more susceptible to hamstring injuries?

The bloke is and will always be susceptible.

Richarlison has been a huge miss. Johnson not providing the influence you would hope for from a 60m player. Solanke is very good but more of a glue guy than a primary creative force. We really have totally failed to replace Kane and Son, haven't we?

Son for me was never world class but the level just below it. Kane was/is the best 9 in world football plus a very good Son next to him. Think of how many times we were utter turd under Jose and Conte and those two saved us. That is now gone. It’s a huge hole for us.

This depends entirely on what you class as success.

Levy will never fully fund a proper push for the league title. But a smart manager can work with what he is given here and try to get some cup trophies over the line combined with finishing between 4th and 6th in the league. Which Levy definitely funds us well enough to do.

the front line is by far our weak point now. solanke i think is fine and we havent even seen the best of him yet. kulu can do a job on occasions but not sure hes good enough to be playing there week in week out, it will work in some games and others it wont, especially when you need pace to get up the pitch quicker.
