Used to really like a bit of post-match analysis but I think the issue these days is that's all become a bit of an illusion. What matters more is not so much the dumbing down of it (which has happened) but of turning all pre/post match stuff into an entertainment spectacle. The priorities have changed. More thought is gone into 'can we have a Keane rant here and some Micah/Carragher bantz here, some jazzy production there.' Just look at the utter shite CBS offer up on their Champions League coverage which seems to be the worst for this.
What's the gain of this? First of all it appeals more to a casual audience who have no care for tactical analysis etc and it also gives free advertisement for TV companies as websites like MailOnline and all banter accounts etc offer news articles on certain 'hilarious' segments. Sadly if you want sensible football chat, you are going to have to look elsewhere. It's all about having cartoon characters now.
I will though admit I always enjoyed the first hour of MNF even if I haven't seen it now for a while.

At least he has played at the highest level. Some of the “influencers” they have now on Sky don’t even understand the basics of the game.
Absolutely dreadful
I turn games on 1 minute before kick off, make a cup of tea etc at half time and turn them off on the final whistle. Pundits add literally nothing.

Not sure why he is a pundit and does tactical analysis tbh. Couldnt run a bath as manager of newcastle. Wore a nice suit and thats about it. Got them relegated in the process.
