I actually believe we have been more pragmatic today and conceded possession and we look better for it.

Is this Ange learning from his mistakes? Or is it simply because Wolves are naive and haven’t followed the blueprint that most teams do against us?

I am going to give Ange credit and say he has adapted in this instance because we look more organised than I have seen us for a while, if that’s the case then for me, it’s a positive improvement.
Bentancur is making a bit of a difference.

Wolves will still think they can get something g here and can’t just throw this away with the position they are in.

Should give us a chance to get at them more in the second half.

Kulu and Johnson doing well on the right and Son hopefully fired up to make up for his miss. Hoping for a strong second half.

Key takeaways at half time:

1) This is the worst I've ever seen Son play. The penalty miss was just the icing on the cake. He is not even tracking back or pressing enough.
2) This is the best performance I've seen from Brennan so far. Playing with fire in his belly and desire for once.
3) Archie Gray is a better centre back that Dragusin.
4) Bentancur is much better than Bissouma.
5) Nobody is marking Cunha and he will punish us soon. Sarr should come on for Bissouma and take out that space!
I really like posts like this, balanced, critical without being insulting.

I didn't see enough of the first half to say if I agree or not but I thought we looked decentish and deserve to be ahead.

I'm going to bear your thoughts in mind in the second half, that's if I don't lag the whole bottle of white I'm about to crack open

Having g Bissouma and Bentancur play together is definitely helping both of them
Yes definitely, it seems more compact in the middle of the pitch and they’re offering more protection.

I actually think I prefer this kind of football to the all out balls to the wall nonsense, there is a time and place for the latter but in games like this, which are your bread and butter, the result is what matters and being more pragmatic against teams like this is a sign of growth imo.
