Oh 100%, unfortunately there's very little we can do about that now.

However, the transfer window opens in 2 days, you'd think they'll have spent some time scouting players over the last few months and would be ready to pull the trigger on Jan 1st.

"Pull the trigger on Jan 1st" on day one won't typically mean bid accepted, player contract agreed, player signed and registered.

Let's be honest how often do you see any club manage that in the winter window?

We need a LB early, not on the last day of the transfer window.

LB is certainly the obv. target this window.

Equally as crucial tho is that we make sure whoever they are - AND SPENCE! - are registered in the Europa squad come Feb 1st.

Ever since the comments about Real Madrid, he’s sucked. Maybe I’m more critical now because he’s another play with no loyalty and will jump to Spain in a minute but I see nothing he’s providing in the last two months.
 
I thought he was great today, certainly his best game for some time.

Use him as a traditional fullback that’ll overlap, hug the line and deliver high crosses, and he’s a very impactful player. Continue trying to reinvent the wheel by using him as a pseudo-10 with those underlaps, and nullify most of the aforementioned impact. Ange must be seeing something there that I'm missing, but I have no idea what that can be.

Him and Solanke are the two most underutilized players in the team right now for me. He’s significantly better than Ange is making him out to be.

He’s a very good player, but not suited to our system.

He’s not a right back as he’s not good enough defensively or positionally. He’s a wing back who needs to be out wide to get crosses in. But at where Johnson or A.N.Other right winger is. Ange wants his wingers wide, to allow full bucks to come inside to the 10 role. Porro isn’t that guy.

To accommodate him, we’d have to get rid of our right winger role.

Or just tweak the system and have the goal threat Johnson inside and have porro have the crossing position ?
