I don't think Solanke is our biggest issue at all tbh, his work rate is good and his finishing is decent enough for a top 6 striker, he does have 7 goals and 3 assists in 17 games for us so far so not in Soldado territory yet by any stretch of the imagination IMO.
I think like a few more of our players he will look better when we get rid of the clown and bring in someone who can instill a cohesive system that actually fucking works.
How is ange job tenable now. I think there will be a change before semis.

I can't help but think many of our goals conceded could well actually be because of Dragusin playing. Gray and Spence had so much control, and it's their first time playing together in CB, that I wouldn't think we will concede at all. But with Dragusin playing, any moment is potentially a chance to concede.
Because we lost .. another game. At home. And are 11th and likely to be 12th by the end of the day. And a few points off 14th with some tough fixtures round the corner.
How is this hard to understand, how fucking shit we are doing in terms of a bigger picture? Did we play OK at times today? Sure. Does it mean much when we are losing every single fucking game? Not really no.
Absolutely baffling that people seem to want positivity after another home loss. We’re on an absolutely abysmal run.

We badly need a left sided CB like Tomori and a proper winger who can do damage running at players. And we need them in before Liverpool. We should have done this in the summer, it has cost us big time.

“How much we spend” is a moot point, and this is a classic argument for it.
It’s not “how much you spend”, it’s how you spend it, when you spend it, and the quality of player you spend it on that really counts. Also add the wages element too.
Even with a fully fit squad, we have no players at the level of Tonali, Guimares, Gordon or Isak in their positions.
There’s no getting away from the fact our form overall this season obviously hasnt been good enough, but even at full strength, Newcastle have a better team than us with better quality players than us. It really is that simple. We have absolutely no divine right to expect to beat them.
