Finishing in CL places is done. Qualifying for EL again is still doable.

I appreciate some of you genuinely think we can win the EL or somehow beat Liverpool over two legs for the EL cup. I’m here to tell you there’s no way that will happen- we can’t even beat Nottingham Forest, or Newcastle at home.

Please try and understand this, fellow Spurs fans. We are trying to save you from greater pain farther on down the line.
This whole reply makes no sense.

So we should prioritise qualifying for EL next season instead of trying to win it this season?

What sort of crazy loop are you living in?

Until the bitter end.

Look, levelling with the Ange out crowd, the results aren’t good enough and if Ange goes then he’s not been hard done by and it wont, read again IT WONT be a case of the club flop flopping on the project as long as they get another attack minded, pressing and possession oriented coach with a similar philosophy.

But I’m Ange in until at least the end of the season because the ceiling for this football is still so high imo and despite the results, the players are clearly bought in. I get why people can’t see it and call me mad or whatever but I really can see something special coming out of this season.

Agree if you sack him you bring in someone with similar tactical mindset otherwise you're just scrapping the project and starting completely again.
You don't get a hipster choice like long ball frank , or iraola because some crazies think he's poch reincarnated in an all new goofy looking form (he really isn't and would end badly)

I thought the football we played on our incredible run to pinch a Champions league spot at Woolwich 's expense was thrilling and exhilarating.....including the 3-0 annihilation of the gooners.

I'll take that over turgid, losing shite that has us in our worst position in two decades all day long, thanks
First season with Conte was actually very good.

The second was mostly a miserable, boring mess.

He himself is also responsible for injuries to a certain extent, just how perplexed do you have to be to think its all just unlucky?

Hamstring injuries time and time again because of this insane system he is trying to play.

He rushed Romero and vdV against Chelsea because he is not made for top football.

How many games more is he staying?

Alot of fans are making it out as if we are missing a complete starting eleven. These are not pub footballers but recognized internationals out there.

Im gonna wait out myself until he is finally gone. Should only take another 5 losses where they have „given their all“.
This ridiculous narrative that he rushed Romero back from his toe injury gets brought up every hour on here!! I can't keep explaining it. Just stop going on about it. Its wrong

Cup team this year. Every fan always said they'd happily finish in the bottom half if it meant winning a trophy and that they were sick of us always only targetting top 4. Well here you are. You made a deal with the devil and this is the journey to that elusive trophy!
Yay. As if we are getting past any of the remaining league cup opponents.

And Europa League? Rangers made us look like wet dogs. Imagine us playing having to face a half serious team.

Sometimes shrewd managers with a busy schedule have their team barely try to play at all so they can conserve energy and stay healthy. It’s sad but Ange could have helped himself a lot by being more practical earlier on, or more generally by being practical at all.

It's alright saying that in favour of keeping him,

This isn't an argument for keeping him. It's context for why it's more difficult than it has been in years past.
but how many of those players would be kicking off wanting to move to clubs in the CL come the summer window?

If they love him and this is them playing for him then isn't that even more damning of his managerial capabilities? Like we just have a chilled our entertainer at the helm who the workforce loves, but is actually dreadful at his job?
Look, this shouldn't need to be said but clearly it must be.

Austin, Porro, Spence, Gray, Reguillon

Was our back 5 who kept Newcastle out second half today. Bergvall was our bog before being subbed.

Newcastle were a referees decision and a
Solanke header away from being beaten by a cobbled together rag tag bunch of kids and nobodies.

The team is clearly still playing for the manager. If we replace that manager we need to be sure they will continue to do so or we risk an even worse implosion than 22/23.

Whoever comes in needs to command the respect of Cuti and VDv because they are the players who will get us out of this mess. For better or worse. It's tricky.

When they find the right interim he'll go

The last thing we need to do is bring in someone with a similar tactical mindset to Ange. Nobody else at the top level plays such reckless, unhinged football. I’m not even sure where we’d find such a manager.

The next manager needs to have progressive football as their default setting but also be flexible enough to adapt to the players in their squad, the opponent, the game state etc.

Regardless of where the blame lays, I just think we’re too far deep in shit now to turn the ship around with Ange. He’s been unlucky in some ways but hasn’t proven at any point he’s the man to succeed with us.

League position is the best indicator of our relative competitiveness. CL and PL ball are the most enjoyable competitions to watch, for me at least.

That’s really cool you think we can win a trophy. Based on our league form, I think that’s probably impossible though.
