You realise the most popular PL manager among the gooner fan base right now is Ange Postecoglou. They're absolutely in love with the bloke.

I think the chances to win Europa League with this football are so low it’s safer to make a dash for top 7/8 instead. We will have to differ on what is a better priority.Yeah my bad for calling you a loser, I know where you're coming from even if I don't agree.
I totally get your point by the way but I'm merely talking about this season anyway, this is a pretty simple either or discussion and for me one takes priority over the other at this stage. I just don't see how anyone would want to throw away our best opportunity of winning a trophy for the sake of a respectable league position.
And the thing is you say winning the cups are flukes then doesn't that just solidify my point, you don't necessarily need to be the best team in the cup to win, so saying we have no chance of winning it is just a complete contradiction.
I don't need a minor cup to make me feel better, it's not for me - the club, the players, the fans would 100% benefit of winning a cup (no matter what it is) - that is irrefutable.
because we have proven time and time again we are not able to prioritise by rotating you absolute helmet. If you're suggesting we are prioritising the cups by rotating then the lesser players would start the league in this "rotation"What the fuck are you on about the mentality side? like what are you actually talking about? There's a world where you can rest a Kulusevski and play a Maddison for in a league game, or play Spence over Porro...No-one's fucking talking about playing Lankshear and a load of kids against Chelsea...rest and rotate accordingly.
Is this the first time you've ever seen a suggestion that a team might rotate according to competition they're in or something, I don't know why you're being so pig headed with this, like can we use a bit of common sense?
You're talking from the perspective of our current squad status, it's pretty obvious we're losing matches right now because of our injuries, you can dress it up all you want but you know for a fact that when we get our 2 CB's back on the pitch and our keeper we will improve...you fucking accuse me of intentionally missing the point but you're literally doing the same thing here, it's incredible.
And once again even if you get your wish and the manager is sacked then I'd expect the same thing whoever is in charge...our squad is better than it is either way with or without Ange so I don't understand why you'd think that we'll be in relegation trouble with or without Ange and that we can't actually proritise the cup comps.
The 'factual evidence' you want to look at by the way which is something you guys always quote is that in the calendar year of 2024 we are firmly a mid table team: look:

So with that being said it's likely we will finish around there so once again I'm asking why you think we cannot prirotise Euro Comps over the Prem, your'e talking utter nonsense as per usual.
Oh no! The Woolwich fans love him! They have such great football knowledge they support that shower of shite!Ha ha

Look, whatever teams we beat are shit so why even bring up the games we won.Oh, I thought last year was down to the worst injury/availability crisis and run of results in years?
Is this going to be the excuse next season, too?
Save it, I was there when Wolves completed their sweep of us last season. We didn't have a single player unavailable.
After 31 Jan last season, Villa was the only teams in that finished in the top half that we beat. After that match on 10 March, we only beat clubs that finished 17th and worse. Who was injured? No one.
That "second run" you saydudu has pointed out? From 10 Dec-10 March, only includes wins over clubs who finished:
7th (Newcastle)
17th (Forest)
15th (Everton)
12th (Bournemouth)
16th (Brentford)
11th (Brighton)
10th (Palace)
4th (Villa)
It also includes losses against:
11th (Brighton)
14th (Wolves)
And draws against:
8th (United)
15th (Everton)
So it was basically the easiest run of fixtures I can ever remember us having in the league. And he still dropped 10 points then closed it out by getting thumped heavily by Fulham.
Ange is a fraud. I know it. He knows it. His missus probably knows it.
"Accept" is probably the wrong word.Europa League final runners-up. Out semis EFLcup. Out semi finals FA cup. 10th place league finish.
Do you accept that outcome?
Considering he was praising the clarity it's incredible he has no clarity in what he was agreeing withbecause we have proven time and time again we are not able to prioritise by rotating you absolute helmet. If you're suggesting we are prioritising the cups by rotating then the lesser players would start the league in this "rotation"
In regards to the mentality aspect (that you apparently don't understand) . If your suggesting we rotate and prioritise the cups then the ones that have been rotated in the league games would essentially know they're not the favoured player for their position and that the league isn't as important as the cup.
You gave examples about like for like "rotations" with Maddison and Kulu as well as spence for porro but the original poster that you cyber tongue fucked stated the league is "irrelevant" so that's not the "rotation" he was insinuating.
I’d take that all day- at least it’d demonstrate a huge turnaround versus our immediate competitors. But I'd much rather have that than:
7th in the league, EL QF, LC SF heavy loss to Liverpool, FA Cup 5th round.
Absolutely fluffed his lines with that one didn't he.Considering he was praising the clarity it's incredible he has no clarity in what he was agreeing with

I'm ok with not basing my opinions on theirs thanks.
The worst is when your missus knows it. Fucking hell that.Oh, I thought last year was down to the worst injury/availability crisis and run of results in years?
Is this going to be the excuse next season, too?
Save it, I was there when Wolves completed their sweep of us last season. We didn't have a single player unavailable. 71% possession and couldn't beat a team that finished 14th.

And these are the same fans that try and make us out as bottlers to deflect from looking at themselves. They love him because they haven’t lost to us once under him and they’ll be hoping he stays in charge for the NLD so they can pick up another comfy 3 points.
I can’t stop thinking about Arne Slot telling the press how much he “loves” Ange’s style of football, and these fools lapping it up as if it were genuine praiseThey love him because they haven’t lost to us once under him and they’ll be hoping he stays in charge for the NLD so they can pick up another comfy 3 points.

10th no cup wins, no Europe next season is a horrible setback for our club recruitment and prestige. For me we can’t allow that to happen.
Time value of already building for success for the next season instead of having to do it next. Being able to use that insight to best take advantage of the upcoming windows. Showing competitiveness by not accepting obviously flawed, uncompetitive football. We literally finished 8th with no Europe a couple of seasons ago mate and we bought in Maddison, Vdv and Vicario - what would be the difference if we finish 10th?
They weren't "inconsistent" outside of those periods. They were abysmally bad.Like it or not, we had good results in that period and we had good results in the first 10 games. We had inconsistent results outside that.
And these are the same fans that try and make us out as bottlers to deflect from looking at themselves.
I don't give a shit what that lot think.
