They are not ignoring context. People (me included) posted loads of times that things were not looking so good even with the whole team fit at the start of the season, and in the second part of the last season too. What’s up with that, have you missed it or you’ve just decided to ignore it and cherry picked what you felt like to defend Postecoglou?
There are plenty on here ignoring context. For every one poster who you say is like you, there are at least 5 who just parrot the latest TalkSport whipping line.

There are also plenty on here who were never gonna give Ange the chance from day 1.

And I'm not defending Postecoglou. I'm defending my position of giving him time and why I'm prepared to give him that time.

First time poster here. Hi everyone. My views on Ange are that he’s completely out of his depth. Read a BBC article that said 2024 was our worst calendar year since 2003! Yes worse than Sherwood, Ramos, Avb and Santini. His tactics are pure playground and imo are causing a lot of our muscle related injuries. Levy must enjoy having a few tinnies over the Barbie with his Aussie mate as I’m completely befuddled as to why he hasn’t sacked him. He’s bloody useless.

"Plenty on here ignoring context" Maybe call them out? See what they have to say. People are not going to say context, context, context in every of their posts.

Yeah, so? It’s up to the manager to win the trust of the fans. Pochettino did it, or you think he was widely supported at the time of his appointment?

Given the results he’s produced, he’s been given more time than any of our previous managers. Can you imagine if one of those hated figures like Mourinho or Conte was having to deal with these injuries and produced the same results? They’d be hounded out of the club. But when it’s Postecoglou, nah… he says some PR shit and the weak soft fans like yourself fall for that crap. “Bbbb but he’s a good human being mate, who cares he’s shit at his job?”

Basic, childish outlook of the game which he masks by proclaiming to be honouring some sort of mythical code.

Tragic and tedious in equal measures.

He should be gone after we lose to pool.

But fans are doing the absolute most to keep breathing life into his mission to drag us into the bottom quarter of the table.

Gives Baldcunt elasticity, when he should be up against a wall.

I agree some people are not being fair, but Chelsea at home comes up so often because it was for many of us a real sliding doors moment - one where Ange's naivety and tactical problems were seriously exposed for the first time and left us with more questions than answers.

There are some people who are always unhappy and use the club's travails to vent. That's undeniably true. For some of us though it's just a question of boosting the win percentage and being a bit more pragmatic - there's a lot to like in wanting to play front foot, attacking football, but ALL good managers learn and adapt to what they have at their disposal. I am repeating myself but Ange's stubbornness will be his undoing.
I'm on record as loving that Chavs game. But even with that, people continue to ignore the three chances we had to equalise before we got knackered at the end. Chances we never would have had if we had just sat back.

I will fully admit that Jose and Conte broke me. I never wanna sit back again.

Nah both Jose and Conte lost the majority of the fans. The footy was generally shit, even the wins. They had also clearly lost the players.

We're not there yet with Ange.

I just don’t get how anyone can watch us and not think it’s an utter mess defensively and in attack and in and out of possession. Nobody ever looks to be in the right place when we don’t have the ball for one.

This is whats most frustrating to me. Ange keeps putting in positions they won’t succeed.

Son and Johnson are inside forwards. They’re useless playing touchline winger.

Udogie and Porro are barely back 4 fullbacks let alone inverted fullbacks. Both much better in wide space. Porro created numerous chances from wide vs Newcastle.

Why can’t we have a manager that actually makes the best use of this squad Instead of trying to force his system on its players.

You see I thought a Vicario masterclass kept the scoreline somewhat respectable.

The subs yesterday were criminal. Bergwall played really well. Werner had looked much more dangerous than BJ. Kulu was completely inefficient. But I guess these guys are sucking up to Ange.
Spence clearly isn't the kind of guy to pretend that Ange knows what he's doing. Madders also has a bit of an attitude. I guess that's what really matters for a weak manager like Ange. He must know that he's out of depth and he's really insecure. Therefore, he must pick all the yes men in his troop. If he lose he can always blame it on injuries anyway. He can blame it on all things not being equal and balanced or whatever. I've never heard so many excuses from a manager. In the end, win or lose doesn't matter. He always win something in his second season... In Aussie and in Scotland with Celtic.

Even if he were to win the league cup, so what? Doesn't mean that he's a good manager. Cups are as much about luck as anything. He sucked big time in the Champions league with Celtic. First failed to qualify against a Norwegian team and next year finished bottom of the group.
The cups are not luck

If Ange wins a cup and finishes mid table then he will get another season. Tho I can’t see it.

This system won’t improve because you can’t be as open as we are in this league. You could have the 11 best players in the world but leave them isolated on the counter you’ll still lose lots of games. Better players will make you lose less because you will create more, score more and be able to keep the ball better but we’d still concede or give the opposition chances.
There needs to be a change in style to make it harder for teams and a change in style to stop our front three being so rigid and predictable. We know exactly how we are going to play every game every week under Ange whether it works or not. Results tell us that it doesn’t work.
The style does need adapting, it's been mentioned before about making tweaks to it, a more balanced system if you like.
But ange has repeatedly stated that, he isn't interested in changing anything.
He can't expect to dominate the league like he did in the shit league's.
It's all or nothing with him, he thinks he can outscore everyone, whilst leaving the back door wide open.
Ultimately it is down to him, because his job is on the line, it isn't the fault of fans, everyone can see the problems, ange is too stubborn to listen.
