For someone not reading day-to-day rumours about Spurs, can you please tell what the issue with Vicario is? (Not the injury)
He went out of his way to bully the fuck out of Bergvall when Bergvall arrived. Proper horrible cunt.
The club identified it as a significant character flaw and tasked Lange with finding a replacement. That was a few months ago. Hence Kinsky as soon as the window opens.

Vicario is history

No I'm Vicario!

It's funny the folk choosing to make points about those down on the coaching and hierarchy. Because Ange today did it again...he adapted. Much less gung ho, picked the press better. Been deeper since Radu to be fair, but we also went down, and much more cynically wasted time. We were savy in conserving our legs, Bissouma pretty much just sat. If he would do this stuff as a matter of course...might have less critics. Subs too.
Think he was asked about that and he didn’t admit there may been a change. He just he knew pool would press and they would have a lot of the ball so circumstances may have pushed them deeper.

Can people see now how a clean sheet and winning 1 nil can be every bit as fucking good, if not better as playing these chaotic games where we concede 3 but hope to score 4.

Ange has to learn from this, and make us more balanced and solid.

It's the way forward.

I'd take a clean sheet most weeks and winning 1-0 or 2-1 as opposed to getting battered 6-3 or winning 4-3 but conceding goals like crazy.
I have been Ange out mainly bcos of the results have been shite and worse than any manager for last 20 years. His had plenty spent and 18 months to get team organised. Always said we are not that far away but requires adaptability and more flexibility in our tactics. Plus we do need to bin most of our forwards. The defence showed yday that we arnt missing our first choice that much. However it’s up top where we need to better.

Our young uns looked the part tonight. Spence had Salah as quiet as he has been all yr. Bergvail gets a winner, albeit riding his luck. Gray, a child, thrown in at CH and looking the part, what a prospect, except he is no longer a prospect and the real deal.

Good games from Porro and Solanke as well.
Good second half from Bissouma as well.

And almost forgot about arguably the motm and on his debut, well done to our new keeper.
Lesson for Ange that he can trust our younger players. I just hope players like dorrington, lankshire, Devine and Donley are given a chance. Who knows they could save us a few bob.

Why the hell has excessive injuries been the only trigger to give this guy some game time

Ridiculous
Spence had one foot out the door. He wasn't even very good when loaned out. No club really wanted to buy him from us.

It has all been down to his change in attitude. His realisation that opportunity is not handed to you, that you have to bust your balls and show you deserve it.

He has shown everyone now that he is a very good defender.

Not one part of you thinks that Ange is the first manager since Steve Cooper to really give Spence an opportunity?

That’s not to say Spence isn’t earning the opportunity but it’s just bonkers to me that everyone ignores the fact that something has clearly changed from Spence being ignored by Conte, then Farke, and the coach in Italy not giving him minutes, to now having a conversation with Ange pre-season and starting the season as our first defender off the bench…

Clearly Spence and Ange have built an understanding where he knew how to get an opportunity and he’s done what it took. It was Spence standing next to Ange when he was hearing it from the away fans early this season.

He only started giving Spence meaningful minutes when he had no choice

He's been playing Archie Gray at Right back ahead of him for several games this season
