Match Tottenham vs Tamworth | FA Cup 3rd Round

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If you’re getting enraged by a flat performance away at a non league team with a lunchtime kick off then give your head a wobble.

We got through and that’s all that matters.

A lot of people need to get laid in here, some misplaced anger for real...hella funny to read though.

These kind of matches are banter matches - no one cares how you play really as long as you get through.

In the next round basically because we played part timers that ran out of gas. Any professional side with the fitness to defend how they did until extra time probably would of beat us. In the next round but overall a wholly unacceptable performance against a team that football isn't even their first job. Some will still try to sugar-coat the performance but that was largely diabolical and we was literally saved by the fact our players can train everyday and achieve a level of fitness the opposition simply cannot get near.

All round play is diabolical, but he's a good finisher in many aspects in terms of anticipation , movement, and striking of the ball.
Don't know what his position is , out wide he offers too little
Not a winger that's for sure. Can't cross, dribble, beat a man, etc. Never, ever £50m worth of player.
I'm sick of him now tbh. Don't even want to see him as an impact sub now let alone a starter.

I don't think it was a terrible performance at all.
People need to understand how these cup competitions work and how much of a leveller they can be. Lots of big clubs get banana skinned. We won, we didn't concede it's all gravy
Mate, let’s not dress it up. Since the Premier League’s inception, there have been two genuine upsets of that nature. Two. The FA Cup is hardly the great leveller some make it out to be, and if we’re honest, most big clubs don’t end up getting banana-skinned—facts are facts.

Sure, we won, and in the end, that’s all that should matter to any supporter of this club imo, but to pretend that performance wasn’t dreadful would be a disservice to our collective intelligence.

Ultimately, we got the result, and that’s all that matters and I am incredibly happy we did the job. But let’s not kid ourselves about the quality of the display, eh? We’ll all toast to the win, but let’s be real about it.

Exactly mate, the idea that some of our fans call it out that a bunch of guys who get paid more in a week than what most get in a year couldn’t motivate themselves to put some effort in against some blokes who have work in the morning and have just had an early lunch is the problem here.

It’s deffo the fans fault in that sense.

What did Ange actually do wrong today
this just sums you idiots up, youre clueless! this isnt just a product of what hes done wrong today, this is the product of 18 months of shit management and a two bob coaching setup you fool.

im not even interested in debating morons like you as its painful. but ask yourself this you fool, whats he ever got right? if he done nothing wrong today in your eyes, then whats he ever actually done right? fool!

Lots of big clubs don’t get banana skinned by Conference teams though. As I think someone said on here before it has only happened twice in Prem history where a non league side has beaten a prem side. It really was a terrible performance. We were a block away from going out to Tamworth. Would you have said that it wasn’t a terrible performance if we had lost 1-0?

Seriously 🤦‍♂️
A farmer could put a Spurs team out today and expect to win by 5.
This performance is on the players, not Ange.
What did Ange actually do wrong today. Enlighten me. Because he’s such an easy target he’ll cop the shit.
Will you give him credit for changes that actually won the game? Nah you guys will say they should’ve started or similar shit.
This site does my head in.
It's the system. It assumes that possession is more important than any other aspect of the game. When it works, and there is an early lead, it works well. But it is a system that allows teams to settle in front of their goal and maintain shape. The attack is slow to arrive, the buildup play is plodding, there just isn't much threat there. When you over commit to possession you stiffle the flow of the game. Often counters are more dangerous than possession and if you have 77% possession there is little open field play. Postecoglou has had some success, he's got interesting ideas, and the players seem to like him. It's just that he's not able to be objective about his system and make adjustments. It's a road to nowhere.

commentators were berating tottenham for making hard work of it but at the start of the game they were explaining all the reasons they thought tottenham would find it difficult

I would hazard a guess that the vast majority of those constantly melting on this forum and calling for Ange’s head every week have never played sport at any sort of competitive level.
