Match Tottenham vs Tamworth | FA Cup 3rd Round

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That's on the manager as well, they aren't meant to just pick players. They should pick motivated players or motivate the ones they picked and make changes to impose your will if necessary.
lol Ange made 2 lots of changes to win the game, which he did.
And if professional players aren’t motivated to win well get the fuck out.
I’m sick of Ange being the easy target.
Don’t get me wrong, Ange has fucked up heaps.
But not tonight.
And all this vitriol after his “outstanding management” against Liverpool.
This forum has the most bipolar and delusional supporters I’ve ever seen.

wow you're quite incredible. You've embarrassed yourself again and have been found out again but you simply can't just hold your hands up and admit the hypocrisy can you?

How fucking embarrassing that you actually tried to convince everyone that you thought the original poster was refrring to Tamworth.

Please don't ever preach about brand of football and styles of managers again when you've now stated you don't care about performance anymore and it's simply results you care about. Funny you say this when we are playing shit against a national league team.
I thought you were talking about my post. Mainly because you replied to it.

I think that it is fair to have a bit of a moan after a game like this as long as you can keep it constructive.

Being happy with a win and not happy with how we got there are not exclusive to each other after all.

But some of the moaning definitely goes overboard. And I'll fully admit to getting caught up in it myself.
I do too. A lot, but that was abysmal and has happened too often against so called weaker teams. A one off id say fair enough but this is a regular occurance now.

I do not see the outrage about today.

What we knew coming in today;
Porro, Werner, Johnson and Regulion are not good.
Madison cannot do it in his own
Moore needs minutes

What did we learn today?
Porro, Werner, Johnson and Regulion are not good.
Madison cannot do it in his own
Moore needs minutes
The starters are good to beat lower league teams.

Frustrating game and you fear the smash and grab goal for them but on the whole I didn't think we were that threatened.

Poor displays from the starting front three and Porro. The first choice front three and Spence would have won it early I think but then they need rest so it's a balancing act.

Think Reggie grew into the game to be fair to him but first half all he seemed to want to do was stop and pass it back.

Another clean sheet. Job done. But it confirms we need new options up front.

It's indicative of the extreme lack of understanding of match dynamics. I keep reading the "if we play like this against X we'll get tonked."

Well we won't as the way we play in one match rarely has a bearing on how we will play in the next one. We beat the best team in Europe just a few days ago, so why not refer to that when coming out with the "if we play..." Rubbish.

It seems there's more than a few on here who want to have their cake and eat it. When we play well and lose, it's all about the result. When we play poorly and win, it's all about the performance.

Hypocrisy level 100.
Is it hypocritical to have players and a manager who actually seems like they care about performances even against the weakest sides?

For crying out loud, Man City won 8-0 yesterday, Leicester put 6 past QPR & the Chavs put 5 past Morecambe.

Besides, that 1-0 win against the Dippers isn't going to mean anything when they tonk us 4 or more nil in the 2nd leg.

With teams sitting deep the lack of ability to break through is so frustrating, but against poorer opposition would long balls for Werner or Johnson to run on to not have been a tactic to get the opposition turned towards their goal and possibly if running at speed get a free kick or penalty

Mental that this guy went under the radar.
His attitude in training must have been shite at times. I understand Conte didn't really fancy him because he had a very chill, relaxed demeanour (which might be mistaken for lack of effort).
So his chill demeanor keeps him out the side? What a fucking brain surgeon the coaches must be. Ledley fucking King was quiet it means zero. Why didn't any one just call Cooper and say what's the deal with the boy. You got a real tune out of him how?

Because that's what a guy was youth team coach I know did. He asked other coaches what his deal was, at the time the queue on here banging on about him having attitude like Axel Foley out of the Berverly Hills cop was deep.

I repeated what I got told then by that bloke Spence is prototype gen X kid. Try and look past the hair and clothes ( I know that's hard for people like Warnock) he is introverted and a bit shy terrible eye contact ( not that should bother Ange) but good as gold. You saw who he was when our fans went for Postecoglou. He was the first over to help his coach.

I am genuinely concerned about the entire coaching staff because there's a lack.of imagination and flexibility that doesn’t scream winning for me. Lots of examples of poor judgment blindspots bias. Oh and on this theme Anton Kinsky better start chucking them in before we see Vicario again.

Mate, let’s not dress it up. Since the Premier League’s inception, there have been two genuine upsets of that nature. Two. The FA Cup is hardly the great leveller some make it out to be, and if we’re honest, most big clubs don’t end up getting banana-skinned—facts are facts.

Sure, we won, and in the end, that’s all that should matter to any supporter of this club imo, but to pretend that performance wasn’t dreadful would be a disservice to our collective intelligence.

Ultimately, we got the result, and that’s all that matters and I am incredibly happy we did the job. But let’s not kid ourselves about the quality of the display, eh? We’ll all toast to the win, but let’s be real about it.
I fully agree.

I will say though that “PL team has a scare against non-league team before eventually going through” does happen a lot in the cup.

And then by the later rounds no one remember or gives a fuck how the teams got there.

To your point, we did eventually wear them down and win, hell we never even fell behind. Shit performance, but doesn’t really matter as we’re through.
