Player Timo Werner

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Timo looks completely washed - not good enuf. But he seems like a good lad so no need to abusive - Because at this point, it’s on Ange for putting him out on the pitch imho. Completely obvious Timo isn’t up to it anymore - Stupid of Ange to keep putting Timo on.

At this point I'm more curious about how he was doing so well in Germany.

Was he actually a clinical finisher there, but got the yips as soon as he moved here? Were Leipzig especially good at creating chances, so he was racking up goals despite being wasteful? Because his struggles are not due to a general physical decline, which seems to be the case with someone like Son. Werner, on the other hand, looks like he has never been good enough to begin with.

Don't ever want to see this guy start a match for us again. At best he is good at coming on at LW and running at tired defences, that's it

It's a curious case as to what happened to him. The effort is there but there's no player.

After rangers and against non league players that's got to be it. Moore and yang min at least gain valuable experience for their growth if they stink the place out

This, and thats it. Nice fella and all that but this should be his only role. I think the masterplan was that him and BJ would be running at their fullbacks and pinging crosses in all day long for Big Dom to poke in. Not really happened (enough)

I am guessing Levy has told Angelos if they send Timmy back there will be no replacement it was the way he worded his reply to a question

We literally can't send him back, if we did we'd still have to pay his wages until May. Leipzig don't want him back. We were utter fools for signing him again, complete madness. Just shows what a mess our attacking recruitment was like in the summer.

We can't keep on playing him, even today it almost backfired.

Would have much preferred to have seen Lankshear out there, at least there's a chance of him being a player for us longer term than just the next 3-4 months.
