I mean, lose on Saturday and he should probably be shown the door - but without an adequate replacement, it just doesnt feel like a worthwhile endeavour before the cup games...

I dunno.

If they don't have a replacement lined up for Ange, then Levy really needs to give it up, as that would be confirmation that he is incapable of running the club now.

I can't see how they haven't made overtures to the likes of Terzic in light of our car crash league form.

I think it's time to go for Ange but how can you compete with this mentality at the club. It's rotten

Tbf we most certainly don't need a CB Romero and VDV close to coming back Drag fit and Grays proven he can play there add on Davies also.

In the summer might be a different thing when Romero and Davies leave but me have Phillips and Vuskovic who need to get a shot.

Forward line, LB and midfield is by far the biggest weak spots in the team

If we don't beat Everton then it has to be game over.

Austin?

LOL.

These guys, also, were getting minutes. Bregvall came on in our first game of the season VS Leicester I believe.

Why are people so desperate to just make things up - there is enough to be mad about already

yeah bergval got last 10 min against Leicester
So what?

3 injury prone centre backs. An 18 year old midfielder and Draguisn who clearly doesn't fit the system.

LOL,

Yeah he should have taken the Arteta route and said " we didn't deserve that result ". Seriously ?
The petty shit that some are espousing has gone to new levels.

I can accept that most here want him gone on the basis of results and results only.

However, posts like this reaffirm my belief that some will seek any angle to get rid of our manager, His suit, his voice, his demeanour, his weight, his heritage, his resume, the correct surname, etc etc etc.. Fuck off with this crap.

As long as he is our manager i will support him.
Well klopp, pep arteta get or got lot of decisions from hounding and calling out officials. Very rare nice guys win. We need to be nastier, spitting and fighting against everything. Were too soft and have been for years

Romero and Davies won't be here next year. VDV in a different system if Ange isn't here may not blow his hammy every other week. And Dragusin isn't injury prone.

If the plan was to buy a great CB now and sell Romero in the summer I'm all for it. But seems daft to spend the money now on a position that in 2 weeks or we bought someone would have 6 people who have proven they can play there fit.

When we don't have a set of wingers who can even beat a man in the books

Romero is shit and wants out. Micky is made out of glass. Drag is bang average and should never start. Gray isn't a CB. Gentle Ben is a good deputy but no more. None of the other kids look ready, even Vusko.

Now or summer, that's one CB we can truly rely on. Not two or three...one. Ben Davies, who apart from this season, is rarely injured.

Gotta get rid of Cuti & Drag on permanent, find new loans for the kids, let Archie play CM...and Micky gotta be seen as a backup. That means gotta get in 3 CB, two of whom must be true elite.

But Levy.

Just been on SC and read a number of times how Ange has a very high ceiling that is why people are still backing him. The truth is he doesn’t, yes when we have won we have won with large margins. That is not the reality of those games. West Ham and Villa we went on short sprees of scoring we were not incredible the whole game . The fact is Ange’s tactics can lead to a short period when the press is working to a lot of goals scored over a short period.

The problem after that there is nothing built into to control a game. Look how many close games we have thrown away Wolves, Fulham Everton at Goodison last year, even the Brighton game this season. It is literally one tactic and if it doesn't work we lose 90% of the time.

I like Ange and think he should stay. It might be childish when a manager blames everyone other than themselves and their player but it definitely works….

All Ange had to do is say after the game is that we soaked up the pressure and got a goal and if we went into half time at 1-0 we win the game. That incorrect corner decision cost us the game. Do I believe this is the case, absolutely not and we probably still would have lost. What this does though, is it keeps the players on his side and creates a siege like mentality. Coming and saying we weren’t good enough although it’s the truth, the players would be really pissed off because they would be thinking you’re criticising us for simply carrying out your tactics. Look at Bissouma, makes a mistake for playing the Ange way then get hauled off. He would be thinking whatever to Ange saying ‘ the mistakes are on me’???

I like Ange and I think he deserves more time given the injuries but he needs to improves drastically at managing the egos of this dressing room. He needs to go on the attack and start attacking the refs, the journos etc…

It’s all about the mind games at this level….

1 of those returning players is Ben Davies, Poch’s back up left back who only learned to play CB because we refused to buy a LCB for Conte.

And Udogie isn’t back for another month.

Fuck the board, fuck their excuses.
Not backing the board but unless you have great youngsters to make up the numbers you can only have 25 players in the squad and generally the teams that go far in Tournaments and win leagues use about 18-20 of them. Maybe we don't have the quality in our first team and 1 quality player to come off the bench in each position.

While it seems like Ange's tactics needs 40 players.

I don't get how you can be so realistic about the board and their abject failure, but when it comes to Ange - who's shown the exact same level of ineptitude - you give him pass after pass.

Not a dig, pal...you're obviously entitled to your opinion. Just keen to understand is all. You think Ange is failing cause the board are utter shite...and that he'd do well if we had proper leaders?

He'd do OK with a fully squaded City

but so would I FFS

I remember him responding positively to interest in the job a few times, but was it really that bad? I don't think I was paying as much attention to the press around the club at that time so just don't have a real idea of how serious it was considered. Was it blatantly disrespectful?
I can remember cringing at the time as he obviously courted the job.

The sacking was off the back of a culmination of events which I think went as follows:

* Club very publicly back Harry through tax evasion court case
* rumoured to be a shoe in for England job and does nothing to downplay links
* wants to extend his contract once doesn’t get England job
* hassles Levy about contract during the mourning period of his mother’s passing
* hires new super agent (think it was Jose’s) prior to meeting obviously with the intention of playing hard ball
* flabbergasted that he’s let go at meeting as club wants to go ‘in new direction’ with younger coach

I really liked Harry and he’s probably in my top three Spurs managers, behind Burkinshaw and Poch, but at worst he was disrespectful and unappreciative towards the club, at best extremely naive and totally lacking in self awareness.

Like I said, architect of his own downfall.
