To be fair they've done some shady shit to fake their numbers like selling hotels to themselves and recently they sold their women's team to themselves, for £150m. For context Newcastle only cost like £300m in it's entirety, so that's clearly bent as fuck.

They'll run out of things to pretend to sell soon.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think that the Newcastle purchase may have included obligations to renovate St. James' and the training ground. Similarly to how Rathcliffe buying into United included obligations regarding Old Trafford or building a new stadium. That may play into Newcastle playing more by the rules than other oil clubs.

I have no idea but Chelsea are finding all sorts of ways of pissing over PSR.

Anyway, any new Spurs owner wouldn't need to but Chelsea are showing it's not difficult.

We could have done that though couldn’t we? Unscrupulous but clever business. Levy would never do it though because it would mean spending enic’s money rather than any moral reason.

We aren't and never have been anywhere even close to FFP limits, so there's no reason to bother with any such chicanery.

As opposed to dodgy chicanery which lines ENIC's pockets, where Levy has been the Thomas fucking Edison of global football from the day he arrived.

That's the hilarious irony of Levy's bromance with Paratici. Don Fabio was a brilliant financial criminal in engineering book-cooking ways to allow Juve to spend MORE money, and Levy was so impressed he hired him to apply the same methods to have us spend LESS.

If only we had owners that committed to build a new stadium and training ground,😂

Liverpool have 12 players on north of £100k, Woolwich have 18 enough to field a full team and a bench. We have five.

They buy a lot of quality, whereas we buy some quality then pad out with promising youngsters and dross. There is absolutely no comparison in our transfer behaviour. We are not competing with Woolwich or Liverpool on any level. Once they start calling around players because they suddenly need someone to come in they just put us on hold and hope we go away.

And as for jealousy of "business models"? All I know is Liverpool and Woolwich are in a title race - Woolwich for the third year in a row. Yeah it's great we can laugh when they fall short again, and they will, but we're laughing from 15th in the league. We're in a hole and our glorious overlords are doing nothing about it. This shouldn't be tolerated. We have the income. We do not have the ambition.
I’m not sure that a lot of those “quality” players are worth what they get. But you’re right. If we rowed out the boat on some decent earners (& not Werner earners) then we’d be financially competing and at least something attractive to the established player.
But who’d come here in their prime to be run ragged every week because the boss man only has one way of playing which has
1-been hit and miss- mostly miss
2- resulted in a worse casualty list since Harold Shipman (apologies for the analogy in advance. It’s in poor taste but I have a poor taste in choice of football team)

Maybe not but the two teams mentioned are first and second in the league.

We're all the way down here.
I hear you 100%.
But one of those teams will have overpaid young men on long contracts to win nothing maybe other than an EL or FA cup.
I hate what this has all become.
Pay more, cheat more, win more.
There was a time when the FA cup took over a whole Saturday in May.
Now? It’s a sideshow. The cheating teams can play the big guns to win the final, having rested them in the knockout stages.
I am so desperate for us to win something that means something to me. The league cup doesn’t ring my bell.
So the last time we won something that made me very happy was in 1991. When Gazza was young and reckless rather than old and feckless. I had hair then as well.
I’m an old man shouting at the clouds tbh and I wish we would at least compete with the wages that the good clubs offer. The boat gets pushed out once in a while, always too late & leaves the club playing catch up.
Would be great to see these young talents come through and have a team of animals who just want to win trophies.
But as soon as their value and ambitions outmatch ENIC then it’s curtains. We either keep them too long so they’re anxious to leave or we break them because we are too tight to provide recruitments, replacements, competition or upgrades.

Let's be honest , it's well past time that Levy and ENIC move on.

Obviously what he has done with the stadium and training ground and commercially has been good, and I think if he moved on, many fans bitterness would eventually turn to appreciation to an extent for those achievements. But the reality is, the fans were sold a dream, that all of the frugalness and lack of ambition in the transfer market, was due to the stadium being built, and we were told that it would be a game changer that would allow us to compete. So fans showed patience during those years, which let's be honest was more than a decade all in all, from the planning to the actual build.

Now however, with the stadium built, there is nothing left for Levy to offer us. The brutal reality is, he hasn't changed since the stadium has built. He still seems to be betting that the PL will implode, and that his financial conversatism will put Spurs in a strong position to take advantage. He's been betting on that for over a decade. But the reality is that day isn't coming. Clubs like City and Chelsea have shown that the money will never stop, they will always spend and we will be left behind.

It's not even the transfer fees, it is to an extent, but it's more the wages and agent fees, Levy just won't compete.

We have a ceiling of 4th at absolute best under Levy. That is the cold hard reality. We aren't ever building a title challenging team under this bloke, so it's time he sold up and made way for more ambitious sporting owners.

The fans just need a change, a reset. We are tired of having the same issues with Levy. We are tired of moaning about how tight he is, about how he's so financial risk averse. We are fed up. 25 years is far too long to have one bloke controlling our great club. it's sickening really. He just needs to fuck off. I know it's not for everyone but I would take rich middle eastern owners every day of the week. I don't care, let's do what City have done, and Chelsea fuck it. It's the only way we will ever compete.

Under Levy, we are just set up to tread water, maintain an illusion of competitiveness, hover around the top 6, so that the club keeps growing in value in line with the PL, and Levy makes money. We don't actually need to win trophies. I am sure Levy wants to win something, but it isn't do or die, he won't push the boat out and really go for it, like City, Woolwich, Liverpool and Chelsea's owners will do. It's a nice to have rather than a win at all costs mentality.

Unfortunately I think he sees it as what THFC can offer him ( ENIC ) than what he can offer THFC

It’s not always about money either , it’s about the mentality of the club . The term Spursy sums up the owners approach to the footballing side , indecision, flip flopping of ideology, cutting corners , panic , lack of planning , unnecessary lack of respect, unprofessionalism , outright neglect etc.

It’s all well and good swanning around a state of the art sport complex but if there’s next to no focus at the top it 100% flows down to affect the staff you employ . We’ve seen proof of this with many ex managers & players going on to win stuff and or basically saying that something is very wrong at THFC.

1000%. Never going to achieve shit with stale, old crusty chancers like Donna Cullen setting the tone.flows down to the commercial team(selling tickets to away fans) and medical team (outdated and clueless) etc etc
