I do think it would be relevant for the 00’s period as a defence of the board that was close to the 90’s but it also doesn’t look at the 50-80’s when we where a big club winning lots of trophies and built up a big fanbase which is now used with the stadium to generate lots of money. The 90’s is some weird thing around the neck of Spurs fans, it happened and it might be even be coming back if we stay on this course but we are along way from Sugar just as we are along way from the double winners and the UEFA cup winners.

For me its just picking a particularly bad 10 years in our history because it fits a narrative that ENIC inherited a pig.

They didn't they inherited a sleeping giant.
 
This Xmas we got my daughter this proper realistic doll. Fcuking thing looks like a real baby cost considerably more than generic ones.

All I've kept say to her is "be careful with it" and "best if you keep it indoors and not take it out"

Kids are heavy handed and break toys a lot.

That is Ange with expensive players.

Levy is me. Probably looking at the players Ange wants and thinking "nah, he'll just break them"

But it's the decade immediately prior to them taking over, not randomly cherry picking a poor decade that suits an agenda. It's relevant because that's their starting point.

At the time of purchase we were a bit of a pig, we'd almost gone bust prior to Sugar, he deserves credit for sorting that out, then he just had us plodding around mid-table. Even that's probably being generous, we were barely threatening the top half under him, and also battled relegation.

ENIC took over and improved things further, we have been genuine contenders at times, the whole infrastructure of the club is on another level compared to what they purchased.

Now just like Sugar, they seem to have plateaud in terms of pushing the club on, personally I probably would welcome a new ownership, but that doesn't mean I won't acknowledge the good stuff they have done.

The only way you could try and denigrate what they have managed to achieve, is by suggesting that it's just coincidence that we rose up the league under them.

youd like to think so, it is so baffling that hes still here destroying the club.

levy must be getting snubbed! its the only thing that makes sense.
