Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I had this dreadful thought that we’ll send Lankshear out on loan without getting another CF in.

Surely we can’t be that inept.

Seeing the posts about the Gunter loan makes me wonder what the long term plan is for our keepers, or if there even is one.

Vicario, Kinsky and Forster seem to be the main three. Yet, Austin has now shown himself to be actually pretty capable albeit over a small sample. Whiteman seems genuinely pointless at this point, and Keeley and Gunter coming through.

We’ve got 6 keepers potentially knocking about, two of the likely to be loaned out for a couple of seasons yet, and I’m guessing our three next year are… Vicario, Kinsky and Austin?
Forster will be gone in summer. Whiteman is essentially a training goalkeeper. He just helps with being able to split training matches into smaller groups. I wonder if this exposure to 1st team football will make Austin hungry for it and a lower league team makes him an offer.

Long term, probably hope that one of Gunter or Keeley makes it to the level of challenging for backup, cos we won’t be able to keep Kinsky and Vicario happy forever.

Thought that was a great analogy.

Didn’t realise they were that bad. I only go to the brewery which has replaced the branded cups with plain ones and I’d complained about that!

I complain about something every time I go even if I’m mildly happy with things. I’m sure the shit muncher getting paid fuck all behind the bar takes it on board and runs up to tell levy of my dissatisfaction the moment my back is turned. Got to keep them on their toes!

It was as clear as day that we needed another LB, CM, another forward given that Richarlison is both injury ravaged and not good enough.

It was unacceptable not signing a Kane replacement for a whole year after he left, reckless to rely on an injury prone player to just get fit and steady as backup or rotation going into this season.

Levy has had 24 days to eradicate the issue. Still hasn't.... hasn't learnt over the years and won't.

We don't want the world or hundreds of millions spent, we just want to stop coming up just a little bit short like we do. Always 1 player away, always 1 window a way and why?

You'd think Levy himself would be bored of all the stress and issues with this team. It's miraculous that we genuinely don't seem to have contingency plans to high risk issues.

Thank god we signed Gray. His diversity will probably save us this season but we've diced way to close to it regardless. I've been an advocate of Levys up to a couple of seasons ago and simply put he's taken us as far as he can.

We have money, we just chose not to spend it and walk a tightrope that is both unnecessary and unfair on all associated with the club. It's a huge shame we have missed countless opportunities to take that leap as they don't come around often.
We signed his replacement BEFORE he left us!

Forster is gone in the summer. Austin has shown he is a solid 3rd choice but may actually get some interest.

Keeley will depend upon Vicario long term, future. Could get a fairly big transfer if we sell to a championships team

Gunter will get 2-3 years on loan, he's a baby for a GK.

I really want one of the odious little pricks videos now just to tip me over the edge . Amazing that nobody has told him he comes across as creepy and out of touch . He must employ the most sycophantic senior staff who when they finish filming tell him “ great job Daniel the guys in the Bricklayers will love it”

If it turned out he was some kind of lab experiment as Lewis looked for the secret to eternal life I would not be surprised.

Close the thread. We all know the behaviour patterns of the bald one. Even Postecoglou has learned to understand now that when you are down, you are on your own when it comes to Levy.
The "bald one" has spent the 2nd most in the league since Postenoclue has been appointed and his return is 15th place in the league.

Levy is a twat but let's not make the manager some sort of victim in all this.

We've been through this mate. You know by now it's not that simple. Transfer fees are amortized and they have been spread across plenty of young players who weren't bought for the here and now. Even Maddison said last night that Bergvall and Gray were meant to be bedded in much slower than this.

We slashed our wage bill by 35m in one summer and had already cut it the year before. We spend 45% of revenue on wages, the lowest of any team that even pretends to have any ambition on the pitch. All the teams we pretend to compete with spend considerably higher amounts on wages.

We bought 1 senior outfield player this summer and loaned Timo Werner. The manager was hoping for Gallagher, Eze, Neto, and Calafiori... none of those happened but we still continued shifting senior players out the door.

In turn they sold Kane and lowered the wage bill and the experience of the squad.

Ange should be doing much better with what he has and has done a terrible job but the 'spent the 2nd most in the league' really needs context.

It's clear that the club have built a team for the future.

Where you getting this from? the manager has said a few times it was him who clearly asked to go the youth route and wanted young players who were able to play his style of football.

Parish the Palace chairman already said nobody came in for Eze. Where do you think Ange was going to play him? it's clear as say he's not the type of player Ange prefers.
