Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We needed 2-3 more seniors in the summer. We need at least 3 now given our injury crisis. Whole thing is a joke. Our board are cunts

regardless of the coach, this squad needs:

LCB - Hincapie
LB (ideally 1 player who plays both)
6 - Gomes?
8 - Rios?
CF (Richy moves on) - No idea really
RWF - Mbuemo or Semenyo

Then in a years time we will need a LWF.

Given our injury crisis, I’m fucking dumbfounded our board look no closer to a LCB/LB and a forward.

Rashford, Brobbey, ferguson

All cheap loan punts that will 80% be shit

City are facing 115 charges and have spent 200 million because they’re falling away

We’re 15th and are looking at loans even though we are the sixth richest club in the world

Anyone backing enic needs a slap from pat butcher

Rashford isn't a cheap punt, guys one of the most expensive players in the league but I take your point 😆

One of the dilemmas we have in the transfer market is that our 'best 11' is probably already at the club and it will be hard to sign significant improvements.

Vic, porro, Romero, vdv, udogie
Biss, Madison, Bentencuar
kulu son
Solanke

So, any player coming in knows they could face significant bench time in future if they join.

It's really likely to be loans tbh.
I really hope your being sarcastic?
First thats bollox as top players will surely look at a team that sits just above the relegation zone and have confidence they can make the starting 11 , and secondly thats not even our best 11!

Villa have signed 2 players
None that move the needle. The high value players we should be chasing aren't getting shipped out this month.

Fans have lamented the N'Koudou, Gil, Bergwijn, Danjuma style transfers. Low cost for low value.
While also lamenting the likes of Johnson, Richarlison and Lo Celso signings that cost more but also aren't quite at the level. Including paying a premium for HG status.

A panic buy this month for a warm body is only going to see a cheap buy like N'Koudou from abroad or overpaying for an okay HG player. Not worth it.

The calibre of player worth buying aren't being transferred this month, other than to the cheats in Manchester.

The rest of the league combined (excl. loans and frees). These seem to be the best of the transfer business for the league:

Donyell Malen
Matai Akinmboni
Julio Soler
Diego Gomez
Romain Esse
Jaden Philogene
Welington
Antonin Kinsky

Not much to write home about.
And the talk of needing a forward is a vastly overstated. 23 conceded in 10 dropped matches in Dec-Jan period. Wrong end of the pitch to strengthen.

This is bloody neglect at this stage

Our games , after 70 mins they’re dead on their feet . If we’re not winning on Sunday by that time we’ll probably lose, Leicester have had 8 days rest

It’s pathetic

Manager begging for players. Happy days.

Players have been begging for support for months

The thing is if you are one of the likes of Bergvail, Gray , VDV even the new Goalie and see how little those running the club care about the football side of it, when it comes to your contract being in the final few years why are you going to bother to renew?
We are already hearing rumours of it about Romero , maybe the plan is to turn us into the English Dortmund - buy them young and sell them on for a tidy profit when they start hitting their peak years?

If I was a neutral player and taking my Spurs view off. I would absolutely look to leave, better wages, playing for a club that might actually buy a decent enough squad so I don’t get flogged to pieces, real chance of trophies.

If Spurs where a company we would be one that pays below the market rate, asks you to work longer hours than competitors and whose product is not market leading but pays great bonuses to the board, the board who are cold as ice and show no interest in your welfare. If you can leave you will.

Solanke is out till March, Sonny is fading away and is terrible when playing as the central striker, Richie is a perma crook and is about as reliable as a cheap Chinese watch!
Add in the fact that we are also sat in 15th in the premier league and the only other options we have up top are a young inexperienced unproven Lankshear who has never started a premier league game, if there was ever a time to strengthen then its now, who cares if we overpay , just go and make a club an offer so good they can't refuse it and go and get a proper backup for Solanke and then get rid of Richie in the summer to recoup some of the cost.

Given our history, I can only remember signing 2/3 players in the Jan window (Werner & Kulu anyone else let me know I don't keep this shit in my brain) over the last 5 years. I doubt we will be getting anyone new anytime soon but hey Levy has a habit of last minute shit innit.

That’s fair. Not an excuse though. We have a greater need than usual and way more resources than most of them
