Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This is bloody neglect at this stage

Our games , after 70 mins they’re dead on their feet . If we’re not winning on Sunday by that time we’ll probably lose, Leicester have had 8 days rest

It’s pathetic
It's been neglect after neglect for years, my mate. Since we moved away from WHL..Its why we are where we are .
They're just not really hiding it any more

Solanke is out till March, Sonny is fading away and is terrible when playing as the central striker, Richie is a perma crook and is about as reliable as a cheap Chinese watch!
Add in the fact that we are also sat in 15th in the premier league and the only other options we have up top are a young inexperienced unproven Lankshear who has never started a premier league game, if there was ever a time to strengthen then its now, who cares if we overpay , just go and make a club an offer so good they can't refuse it and go and get a proper backup for Solanke and then get rid of Richie in the summer to recoup some of the cost.
Easy to say on a message forum. Harder in the real world where available players are sparse.

One of the dilemmas we have in the transfer market is that our 'best 11' is probably already at the club and it will be hard to sign significant improvements.

Vic, porro, Romero, vdv, udogie
Biss, Madison, Bentencuar
kulu son
Solanke

So, any player coming in knows they could face significant bench time in future if they join.

It's really likely to be loans tbh.
Where to start.

Half of them are injured.
Son is flagging.

3 of that 11 you mention as best XI so impossible to improve were themselves January signings.

The whole atmosphere around the club from board level to the fans is "too hard don't try". It's a bit sad.

Ahhh yes sorry forgot about those as well. I'm not great at pulling stats & dates from the top of my head - I don't even know how many goals a player scored in a season unless I google it. Call me a casual fan if ya want :D

Werner? well that was an AMAZING signing *SARCASM* even *if* fit he's SHIT

I've always disliked our club motto 'To Dare is To Do' Do what? be the laughing stock of the PL?

Werner did ok in his first loan spell. Not saying he set the world alight but quietly ok.

Whether he deserved a second season at 165k a week is a different question. Of course it's been downhill since he signed on a second time.

That’s fair. Not an excuse though. We have a greater need than usual and way more resources than most of them
Wish we were the Real/Barca of England. Just get guys to wind down contracts for free transfers.
Would love to have Kimmich run it down for us.

I think the single biggest failing at this club, and it encompasses everyone. From the ownership to the key football positions. Our academy produces 3 fifths of sweet fuck all compared to other clubs. That means development. It means managers not looking for opportunities to integrate them. Scouts not finding the required level of talent. Ownership not funding the academy well enough so we can attract the quality needed.
If we had some decent freebies filling the squad from within it'd make it a lot easier to spend big on the areas they aren't filling.

Woolwich without Saka would have to spend 40m+ to buy someone there, who knows that may have meant not buying Saliba or Rice or the rapist. Mainoo, TAA, Foden. Chelsea have had countless over the years. United have had an academy grad in the squad for some crazy record back to before WWII.

I mean Kane saved us a load of money.

Overall (ignoring this season's disastrous injuries), our squad is taking shape quite nicely. We're still 4 or 5 away from where we need to be, but we're signing the right profile of players.

Players not in order of preference for each position (below), just listing options. For example, I think Moore and Odobert will be our left sided attackers for years. Squad would be 29 players (depth), low average age (growth), lots of players who will count as hown grown, either club trained (Austin, Vuškovic, Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Davies) or association trained (Spence, Maddison, Johnson, Solanke, Delap). Lots of players who count as U21 in the EPL so do not take up a squad place (Vuškovic, Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Delap, Odobert).

GK: Vicario, Kinsky, Austin
RB: Porro, Spence
RCB: Romero, Vuškovic, Dragusin, (Gray)
LCB: Van de Ven, OOSTERWOLDE, Davies
LB: Udogie, DORGU, (Davies)
DCM: Bissouma, Gray
CM: Bentancur, Bergvall, Sarr
CAM: Maddison, Kulusevski
RWF: MBEUMO/DIBLING, Johnson, Yang
CF: Solanke, DELAP, Richarlison
LWF: Son, Odobert, Moore, (Richarlison)

I'm soo BIASED when it comes to Kane as I honestly believe he's the best Striker England has EVER Produced, I was there at his debut against Cardiff City & have 5/6 shirts with Kane on it but let's park that for the moment for my actual point of the Club Really tried to fukk that man's career & it's something I'm still bitter about if I'm honest. If we can treat literally ON OF OUR OWN like that I'm sure it'll put off some future players :(

The 2 fullbacks, Bissouma and Son. If you are telling me we can't improve on them we might as well pack up and go home
