Tottenham offered Dusan Vlahovic to solve Solanke injury problem

Tottenham Hotspur have been offered Serie A star Dusan Vlahovic, who is thought to be looking for an exit route from Juventus before the transfer window shuts.

Tottenham offered Dusan Vlahovic in the final week

Tottenham Hotspur would have been left disappointed by Randal Kolo Muani‘s decision to snub their approach in favour of a switch to Juventus.

However, when one door closes, another often opens, and that appears to be the case for Spurs, who might be offered a chance to sign one of Juve’s big names.

It has now emerged that Kolo Muani’s move to Turin has meant that Dusan Vlahovic has fallen down the pecking order, thus raising the possibility that the Serbian might make a late move to the Premier League.

Tottenham in contact with Dusan Vlahovic’s agent

This update comes from La Stampa (as relayed by Sport Witness), who reveal that the former Fiorentina striker’s agent is dangling him in front of several clubs across Europe, including Tottenham.

Vlahovic is said to be keen on getting regular game time and does not believe he is likely to get that at Juventus, particularly after Kolo Muani’s arrival.

As a result, the 24-year-old, who has 18 months left on his deal in Turin, is being offered by his agent Darko Ristic, to Spurs, Woolwich, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

If that happens Levy has either been visited by three ghosts or Juve are going to cover at least 50% of his wages

Your question assumed that the greatest need for spending is our situation. That’s motivated reasoning.
Ok name a club with a greater need, the financial power and wriggle room who have a squad totally decimated by injury. Southampton , Ipswich are never busting out the cheque book as they will have budgeted to hopefully stay up but probably go straight back down . Everton have no room to manoeuvre at all , Wolves maybe looking to sell their best asset .

So come on who has the greatest need and the greatest ability to act right now. We are in 4 competitions still

Well I know what Tottenham fans would be saying if they were Forest fans (because this actually happened). This is a once in a generation chance to push for the league title so it’s unforgivable not to be spending money. We need to secure top 4 and we’ve brought noone in !!

Same for Bournemouth for top 4 and Europe generally.

Woolwich are very light up front and have injuries. They can afford to spend and haven’t. Are they serious about winning the league or CL or are they happy to win the top 4 trophy every season?

Liverpool risk losing 3 or 4 of their best players in the summer and barely spent in the past 12 months . They should be proving they are a big club and try to keep their best players. Owners aren’t spending.

Manchester United are having a terrible season and don’t have the players to play Amorim’s system. Either back him or hire someone better suited to the squad.

It’s amazing how many Spurs narratives from the past 10 years can be used on a wide range of other teams. Although we think they only ever apply to us…

It's been mentioned before on this side that Romero most probably wants to leave Spurs.
I think Waddle's conclusion about Romero is not just based on his body language but most probably "things" he's heard.

Chris Waddle is not a fan of Cristian Romero’s body language, and he believes that the Argentine’s mannerisms say something about his future at Spurs.

Cristian Romero has been a big miss for Spurs

Ange Postecoglou‘s men have been without several key players for large parts of the season and can argue that Romero has been as big a miss as any.

The Argentine is not just an elite defender when he is firing but is also crucial to helping Spurs play out from the back with his line-breaking passes, while also being one of the leaders of this young Tottenham side.

Thankfully for the Lilywhites, Romero is now back in training and is reportedly not far away from returning to action.

Chris Waddle on Romero’s body language

It remains to be seen if Romero will be at Tottenham for too long as he is now into the final 18 months of his contract.

Reports have indicated over recent months that Spurs have reached out to Romero’s camp about a new deal, but the defender is hesitant to sign on the dotted line as he is not keen to play Champions League football.

Waddle believes that the Argentina international’s body language suggests that he does not want to be at N17.

The former Spurs midfielder told aceodds: “Romero is a good, old-fashioned centre-half who’s not afraid to leave his foot in. He’ll hit you if he has to hit you. He’s not afraid of a yellow card or a red.

“His body language after last season suggests he doesn’t really want to be at the club anymore. I think he believes he should be at Real Madrid or Barcelona. If he wants to go, it’s better for Tottenham to cash in and buy someone who wants to play for the club.”
