The word IF is doing a lot of work there. No player in their prime years is coming to us. That’s fantasy in this day and age.

I do see that a lot of people who hate the owners think that this is decisive. They seem to think we are now competitive with elite European clubs for elite talent but that has never been the case.

I suppose this is the same market that sets the price of Daniel Levy's services as chairman at the very top of world football, above the clubs against whom he can never reasonably be expected to compete.

Levy is ok, he’s made himself the highest paid chairman in football. He will cash out billions when he sells and didn’t put a penny of his own money in.
