I will pray for your unholy soul Matthew.

And of course Faith is good. George Michael said so.

My favourite description of faith - Alan Watts -

"We must here make a clear distinction between belief and faith, because, in general practice, belief has come to mean a state of mind which is almost the opposite of faith. Belief, as I use the word here, is the insistence that the truth is what one would “lief” or wish it to be. The believer will open his mind to the truth on the condition that it fits in with his preconceived ideas and wishes. Faith, on the other hand, is an unreserved opening of the mind to the truth, whatever it may turn out to be. Faith has no preconceptions; it is a plunge into the unknown. Belief clings, but faith lets go. In this sense of the word, faith is the essential virtue of science, and likewise of any religion that is not self-deception."

Paul Merson thinks we should stick with Ange for this season and next season as well.

Mersons a cunt and besides he makes no decisions of his own, they’re all made by that massive coke boil on his hooter

is a bit like watching Van Gogh paint while Rolf Harris talks you through it

I'm not convinced by Ange but it is very good to see the players are all behind him. That could stand to us in some of the cup games now. The injury crisis is completely insane and it feels like the players think it'll all turn around once they get players back.

I know some of you hate hearing this as it means Ange might finish out the season but I think its a positive thing. If it doesn't get better than we know he's gone in the Summer, but doing the Ryan Mason thing in January or February would have been terrible. Thats nearly half a season under a care taker coach while the club clearly have no idea where they are going! It was not going to make anything better!

we absolutely don't know this

If it doesn't get better than we know he's gone in the Summer
too late. if it doesn't get any better then we're in the champo. No one can survive on getting 4 pts from 10 matches or whatever the form table says

It doesn't have to be either/or
it'll all turn around once they get players back.

really? It's the formation more than the personnel. surely everyone can see that by now

Just saying thats how the players feel. So sacking him won't exactly unite the team and bring players back from injury any quicker! Not sure it'll have the big bounce you expect it to have. And it is Ange or Mason. The club want Iraola or Frank next season and neither will join mid season. Its not realistic

Patience is needed

Second season of a rebuild.
Recruitment has been majority players under 20, and replacing Kane with Solanke.

Players are behind the manager

The fans need to get behind the manager and the team.
Cheer them into great feats rather than jeering at their attempts.

I’ll loose more of you here, but as recent history to glean. Arteta sat in 15th in his second season in December, had a worse start to their 3rd season, and had trouble in the change room. The club stuck with him and the rebuild focused on youth.

Sacking the manager is not the answer right now (Either is Arteta). But a bit of patience, and the miracle of a quality January signing or 2, and a club all cheering as one. Let’s see where this squad can take us.

Oh shut up we’re 16th, nobody (ok maybe like two people) are going to join you in clapping by the campfire while we lose every fucking game and face a genuine relegation threat.

Fucking so sick of hearing this ‘rebuild’ bullshit as well. We have gone so far backwards apart from an opening 10 games under this fucking clown.

Ange will be 16th going in to FEBRUARY!! not bloody December. Forget bloody Arteta. He was never in as bad a state as this. And I hate that argument anyway, focus on the one or two coaches who rescued it from there rather than the million who lost it. Should United have backed Ten Haag more?!

Ange is rubbish, he is utterly failing at his job role and it’s time to go. Then we can all clap as one because we won’t be losing at home to bloody Leicester.

Last I checked we're 15th.

Nah, this is a confluence the like if which we have never had before: Levys parsimony Langes inability, and Postecoglous incompetence, and over promotion. I don't care if the players love or hate the coach Ange Postecoglou goes in the summer if we are in the Championship he'll replaced by Mckenna if its in the Epl it's Iraola or Frank.

Magical thinking about patience won't sort out the tactical thunderdome that's Spurs midfield under a man whose highest league achievements were in league out side the world's top twenty. As agent Smith in the Matrix so memorably put it.

"No captain your man is already dead!"
