Well in this country at academy level athleticism trumps everything. Moving the ball quicker and being able to cover more ground is the current meta.

If you’ve got blistering pace and decent physicality that will put a foot in a door.

Not sure if we will see a change again though. Technical skills are still much more appreciated in Spain for example.

Premier league is just a super physical league.
This has gotten a lot better in recent years in fairness. The technical quality of English players is night and day from 20 years ago.

Still think skill and technique outweighs other attributes in game. Look at maradona. Virtually single handedly won WC and other titles. Think skill has gone out game. One player I do like watching is eze. Smooth player to watch.

CREATIVITY has gone out of the game.

Skill and technique have never been higher.

Maradona of course had both in bunches, but one reason he could win the WC by himself is his technical quality was so rare in those days.

His first touch beating players was genius. Messi was good but was surrounded by world class players at Barcelona. Maradona edges it for me over messi. Would like us to have a few players have a bit more skill and go at defenders. Would like eze in summer. Ajaya last night was good last night. Brave and went for it.

Your ridiculous claim you can make do with 11 or 12 players.
It’s like you slept from the Chelsea game onwards.

What you talking about from Chelsea onwards?

December through January and February we got 1.9 PPG despite losing VDV, Romero, Maddison and then Son to Asiacup and Sarr and Biss to AFCON.

We absolutely did what Bournemouth and Iraola did with 11-12 guys playing once per week.
People just have a weird, irrational hang up about those first 10 games.

For those Ange Outers with a hard on for Iraola, his last club Rayo Vallecano are up to 6th in La Liga. They are better than they were under Iraola. I guess that means you’d all prefer to cut to the chase and get Inigo Perez?

We do need to analyse the whole Premier League and work out how we are where we are
And how Bournemouth are over performing. Then we need to make major changes if it means giving Ange a new coaching team that may be the answer or if it means sacking Ange.

The fact is something needs to change at Spurs and we do not have hundreds of millions to waste.

The change is having owners with the ambition to compete with the top four

Further to that one of Ange’s pressers in the last few days, he said training is extremely light at the moment due to injuries and workload.

Yep.

Dont know if you noticed but his embargoed section today of the presser, Ange seemed hesitant to defend the ownership, whilst not doing a full on Conte. He was asked whether or not he felt let down by the transfer window, and was asked about the Levy out chants. His response was telling.

It's also the second time he referred to not being able to unify the Club. It was a very telling and awkward conference. It's only my opinion, but based on watching all of his interviews over the past few weeks, the connection between Ange and the board is threadbare.

Im unashamedly Ange in, but I feel he knows it's over barring some miracle.

What did he say? I've given up on pressers but last I saw he was saying fans have a right to be upset and chant what they like but the club are doing everything to help etc.
