Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Day 32 and we are down to the final two potential targets. Belgium centre back Mark de Man has been playing well lately and rumour has it, Levy has flown to Brussels with a loan offer which includes and option to buy his parents waffle franchise creating high quality dining experience in our stadium. From Brussels, Levy is planning to drive to Amsterdam to sign Dutch U20 winger Jizz Hornkamp. This will be a difficult deal with Peruvian giants Deportivo Wanka aka Los Wankeros also making a bid. The Botswana Meat Commission FC have also been sniffing around...
Just for your information: Botswana Meat Commission FC have changed their name to Gilport Lions FC

As I have had it explained to me: If you follow how transfers work by the book, you have to get a verbal agreement with the club first before you are allowed to approach the player. Then if the player agrees you go back to the club and set up the paper work.

Obviously clubs work around this, but if you want to do it "by the book" it has to be club first, then player. Otherwise the club can claim that we tapped the player up.

Not any more, no one cares about tapping up because it's impossible to stop.

Vast majority of transfers these days are done through agents (this is what my client expects etc..), fees and personal terms are normally agreed with a player first then they go to the clubs to try and agree a deal.

We in this instance are just panicking because we are desperate.

Honestly this is just so embarrassing. Bidding on players who don’t want to come because the their clubs owe us money (Kane and Royal). Levy has degraded us to mid 90’s Spurs, infact worse than that, in the mid 90’s we could still get Klinsmann and Ginola. This is a whole new Spurs.

Our only hope now is we have 2/3 choices in the background that do want to come who have been scouted and agreed with Lange and will be triggered when our first choice have said no.

Given what we did in the summer and the injury crisis in Jan our failure to get 2/3 decent players will be right up there with the worst transfer windows in the clubs entire history given the situation and what is at stake.

Nah, they don’t want to spend and these public fuck ups are the excuse.

I didn’t think so with Tel but this is so different to the patterns of transfers we actually wanted to do under Lange. Usually we hear almost nothing then it’s done…this smacks of Levy and Paratici undermining Lange and having very public fails as an excuse for not spending

100%.

Again with that kid?!?! He's 18 and got 20 games to his name. He's nothing special, many kids out there doing better. But he's English so let's just overrate the eff out of him. Even 10 mil would be a big splash.

Thanks for letting us know you have absolutely zero football knowledge. Dibling is a better prospect than Moore ffs. Have you even watched more than 5 minutes of him?

Why are we not sounding out these players first before making a deal with the club, this is just such an embarrassing window for us, still Levy in the mud - maybe he will step back now ?

Because there is obviously no plan.

The intention was obviously only to sign Kinsky but due to the pressure on the board they have been scrambling desperately to sign anyone to relive pressure on levy.

Disgusting behaviour by all involved and shows where the priorities of these snakes lies. Only do enough to save themselves and make money

It’s all for show, I’m convinced on that. Putting bids in to make it look like Levy’s prepared to spend money,I don’t think he’s embarrassed at all . He’s just trying to obsolve himself of blame. when they most likely know the player is not interested. Exactly like the Aguero bid when he was under pressure that summer.

Push it on the manager why players don’t want to come. We don’t normally put bids in for players without agreeing with the player first. Why has it changed in the last few days. They don’t want to spend money and using the manager uncertainty as an excuse for it.
