Assuming Danso will play RCB, we just need a LCB backup/competition for VdV (to replace Davies) and we will have a decent roster of CBs. I actually think Davies is a very decent CB in the twighlight of his career, but is just not suited to the high line / does not have enough pace. By all accounts Vuškovic is also a bit of an oil tanker pace wise, but I suspect Ange will no longer be here by the time he is a first choice CB (i.e. 2-3 years time). I'd be looking to move Dragusin on this summer and replace with a left sided CB, and either offer Davies a player coaching role, or let him move to another PL club to finish his career as a week in, week out starter. I am hopeful of keeping Romero next season, but if he left for bigger things then we will need another RCB.

Now:
RCB = Romero / Danso / Dragusin
LCB = Van de Ven / Davies / Gray (emergencies)

25/26:
RCB = Romero / Danso / Gray (emergencies)
LCB = Van de Ven / TBD / Vuškovic

It's a start, though it's fucking irritating that it looks like we potentially missed out having this guy for our last two defeats because we were haggling over £5m.

Anyway it's done now. Baldy better be working on more before tomorrow though.

I genuinely don't believe Romero will be with us next season.

Danso is 100% an early replacement for Romero, no chance he stays beyond the summer IMO.

Already? I don't follow Milan but last I heard about them he was dancing in the dressing room with a trophy.
He was fighting on the pitch with his captain last week. The fans are unhappy with performance and they're sitting 8th. And they lost to Zagreb in cl last game stopping them automatically qualifying.

* Although I just checked their form and it's better than I thought

You might be too young to recall or know, but there was a film years ago called the Wanderers in the late 70s I think.

In it there is a line which goes.... "Don't fcuk with the baldies"

You have been warned.

Way I see it were hiring young players with potential as we get burnt trying to sign elite cast offs. Chelsea and city overcame it to begin with as they paid way over odds for elite players. Seems that's the only way we can do it atm that probably means new mega rich owners.

Happy we've signed a defender but concerned that many seem to be saying his passing is a weakness (can't pretend I've seen much of him).

Just hoping it's not another opportunistic, poor system fit signing like Drag.

Forward now please Daniel.
