They do this exact script EVERY fucking window... then ask for donations. And the 2 or 3 more never fucking happen.

Not to mention wingers department where we could use literally someone to take up starting spot. Or proper DM like Emerson in Atalanta?

After signing CB in prime age I feel that another CB is behind positions like fullback, winger, DM or even 2nd striker (as Richie injury record is worrying to say the least).

It's weird and hints at something else going on behind closed doors with Romero IMO.

Ange I think has already said he see Gray really as a midfielder and that’s his future, most likely our DM and perhaps he wants him there earlier.

So you are left with the below for the rest of the season. In short 3 reliable CB’s for 4 competitions so having a spare on loan is probably a reasonable shout especially if Ange wants to move Gray into the middle. Clearly the thinking is that we need an extra body.

VDV: injury prone
Romero: Injury prone and off in the summer
Dragusin: Injured
Danso
Davies
Gray

I do think though after getting Gray a RW should be the main priority.

Surely it is cannon in the world of transfers that anything you see released in the press about bids etc is days if not more behind than when it actually happened.

For a transfer like this - there would have been a need to allow Palace some time to see if they could find a replacement first too.

No way this happened this morning!
