As I understand it (and I may be wrong) United didn't want to take the loan on without an option or obligation to buy.

For a five million loan, and then to give the player back at the end of the season seems very unlike Levy. I mean if the player really takes off, gains experience and playing time and we just hand Munich back a better all around player?

I would have sooner stuck that loan money into the Guehi offer.

I am just trying to take the emotion out of this deal, for me not a good one in my humble opinion.

We need a striker or a forward or some sort of spark up top, we are absolutely desperate for one so I understand the signing, if he does well then goes back then fine we'll go for another player but we need a player like this for now until the end of the season.
