It seems that, for some players, the more time they spend under Ange’s training , the further they regress.

I fear for Gray, Bergvall and some of the academy lads (who are on the fringes of the first team), if Ange is still at the club next season.

Can I just ask who, exactly, you're referring to?

Which players were better under Conte than they have been under Ange?

I'm not necessarily disputing your thesis but I can't really think of an example - even Son was vastly better last year than he was the season before under Conte (he was playing injured for Conte tbf)

Or have I got this wrong and the previous regime doesn't even factor into the equation?

That's a very odd response to a conversation about Fergie?

Would you like the answer: "Yes, I'm Ange In because it took him years to get United in shape"? :D

I am an Iraola fan, my friend. That won't change unless Ange somehow wins EL as well as a sustained winning run in the league when the first team is back. Neither of which is very likely.

Cundy’s a c@nt, but there are several interesting bits in here about injuries.

Also a Spurs fan calls in and is saying Ange fell out with Geoff Scott the physio/head of medical back in August….. and gets shut down very quickly by Andy Goldstein. Could be something in that.

According to a report from The Athletic, Geoff Scott’s departure may have been influenced by a disagreement with Ange Postecoglou.

An anonymous source claims that their dispute was over the management of the first-team squad’s workload and injured players’ recovery.

Graham Scott was shit and needed replacing.

We’d had injury crisis after injury crisis in his time.

And now that article came out, not one top club will trust him again. The Athletic just helped him end his own career so they could get some cheap clicks

They should -

I mean - lol - surely no one can think it isn't after seeing what Chelsea did, let alone City - how is this news to anyone?

People get sucked in because it is a cultural and social ritual - something that is deep-rooted in all of us - a tradition, a pastime - it's all a con that uses people's emotional connection to a thing (football club) and how our brains are wired when it comes to storytelling and narratives....

Like, its not that hard to manipulate the masses, especially when it comes to the offer of an 'escape from real life' like with sport, when all the while the entire thing is designed to make frankly obscene amounts of money off us.

I know all of this and i watch every week and talk to people about it all the time..... but i stopped actually letting results and whatever get to me..... i have no control over it, and those that do are 99% of the time the people who have the most money and are using that money for their own betterment.

It’s like Lew Grade’s saying about
commercial television being
“ a license to print money “ and even our own chairman justifying the cost of buying out Alan Sugar because
“ football is the new entertainment”.

It’s a process now ; the “ business “ part of show-business ( whether on TV or live in the “ theatre” aka our ground ) has overtaken all .

Levy’s an impressario at the end of the day, as are most chairmen . Providing bread ( beer ) and a circus . Willingly ( for now) paid for and lapped up by the likes of us .

I apologise if this seems cynical.

Not many of the Comte players are left tbh

I’d say PEH was better under Contr. Kulu was good under Conte too. Son has aged so it’s a bit of a tricky comparison Tbf. Ben Davies good under both. Overall Romero was better under Conte.

Biss didn’t really play. And he’s not great now

Spence I grant you - better under Ange. Played all of nine seconds under Conte.

DJed’s Angedecline is starting I fear …

We’ve never had injury crisis after injury crisis before this season?

I thought the previous problems were that GS was seen by the managers as being too cautious with a players return?

Funny how he leaves and we have the worst injury crisis in our history?! Kind of undermines your argument.

I’d be surprised if Ange’s wife had ever been Ange-in

Seriously … is that it on this forum?

Full house for the tubby Larrikin to head home?

You might not realise this but bringing the manager's wife into the conversation and calling him "tubby" etc... It just makes you look like a bit of a dick. And I know you're not on your Pat Malone with that sort of thing on this forum but bit of friendly advice and all that.

Couldn't agree more man. So hard to care the way I used to.

The guy will never get another top 5 leagues job (I think and hope). I read he's on 5 or 6m a year? So at min he gets / steals 10-12m from us fans, and likely a bit more.

He can then either go back to the Scottish Prem (would be interesting to see him at Hibs for example hey?), or coach an international side.
Whoa! I'm sorry I can't run with that - I don't believe in cancelling football managers because they didn't do well for any club everyone deserves a job mah dude.
