is that league?
He's not done that out of choice. It's been done our of necessity.Ange has said himself he was a driver behind recruiting so young this summer and now again in January.
He has probably done us an incredible favour 2-3 years down the line as long as we don't find a way to fuck this up with some of this talent we have now but if it costs him his job then that was the gamble he took.
Yeah I said I couldn't defend going out of both cups in a week and I can't.
Football is a results business and the results haven't been good enough.
But there is a very small window to replace him now without making it even worse and fucking up any recovery in form when the injured players come back. There is 7 days training before UTD and another week or so before the Europa League comes back and that is the only thing we have left to play for. If they are going to sack him, they need the new manager in before Wednesday.
lack of investment??? what? He's not done that out of choice. It's been done our of necessity.
The lack of investment and lack of vision at this club has cost us dear.
Best assets gone, other left to join other clubs willing to pay or play them.
That's when we can truly judge him / the situation. Like Jose / Poch / Conte said before - we do not have the depth to be in all these competitions.I do like his passion there tbf.
Well he'll get his chance to prove if his point is correct in the next round of Europa. And no more mid week games till March
The way I see everyone should be fit for that game except radu. And the level of teams left in that competition, isn't the strongest
In comparison to our revenue and wages paid? Especially compared to relative expectations - Absolutely. Would you not agree?
The squad he had to work with was nowhere close to our current squad.
I think it's all that he was offered tbf, mateEndless chat about teenagers. Er … they are all the players YOU chose to sign Sweet Angelos
Our 1st choice midfield has been available the last 2 matches and it’s relatively fresh. Yet it’s been our weakest area of the pitch, offering such little defensive cover and attacking threat. That’s the system and instructions- you can see how badly coached we are.You ever played football? I'm only 32 - old for many and not for some. My legs are still stiff / sore after 5/6 days.
At this level, with such fine margins, and especially after months of doing so - that's without the mental fatigue they're under.
Simply it's just ridiculous to judge them under these circumstances and all fingers need to be pointed to those in charge for how this situation occurred.
You've not just heard this from me though, you've not just heard it from Ange.
You've heard it from Conte - ohh although his football was just ridiculous anyway.
Although Jose mentioned it - mind you he's a dinosaur.
Come to think of it, Poch mentioned issues similar to this... Although he was twerking with Barca and he never had a plan to beat the top teams!
The point remains that Ange isn't our worst ever manager.... yetThe squad he had to work with was nowhere close to our current squad.
I understand why you would say that. But Postecoglou isn't a normal manager and Spurs aren't a normal team. He did something really clever from Day One. He has this "Big Ange" persona that really works for him. People will blame Levy and board, the players, and just about anything else but not him. And even though I don't think it explains everything, he is persistent about always bringing the conversation back to the injuries. Ironically, people have bought into the idea that because they fired three managers in a short span that they can't fire a 4th. Logically, the one thing has nothing to do with the other, but that's how people (and more importantly Levy) may look at it. Nobody wants to lose face.
If you base it purely on win percentage no. If you factor in what they came into, what squad they had, how much they had to spend and how shambolic we look then its still a yes from me. Anyway the fact we're scratching around for whether he was better than Gross or not means he's bloody useless regardless of opinion. The point remains that Ange isn't our worst ever manager.... yet
Even thoughSir Archibald Crooks would love it to be true!
You started this pal!!If you base it purely on win percentage no.
