The played back still need to be managed, but yes, at least the bench won’t be a crèche
Ange's style seems to work against United. They just seem to sit back and get battered every time we play them.

We were even 3-0 up against them in the middle of our terrible run of form back in December until Forster gifted them 2 goals. Still won 4-3. We have played them off the park every game under Ange. Just seems to be a good style match for us

Assuming the rumours of the fit players being back (vicario, Udogie, Maddison. Johnson) we need to freshen up and give gray, Kulu and porro a rest so if possible

Vicario

Spence Danso Davies Udogie

Sarr
Maddison Bergvall

Johnson Tel Son

Hahahha, seriously?

Sarr- Madders- Bergvall
Johsnon-Tel-Son

Is the softest, most lightwaight front 6 I could ever imagine seeing for Spurs :D . Never in past 15 years have we had so weak front 6.
This is front 6 with average mass of what ? 67 kg? :D in EPL. Against ManU ? You've got to be joking. None of them barring maybe Sarr and Tel do not have much upper-body strength nor low center of gravity. We'd be brushed aside in walking pace with that kind of lineup without a doubt.

Plus - agreed that Kulu is overplayed, but from forwards Son still needs rest more than him.

Defense is OK (not that we'd have many options there either)
But:
---------Bissouma----------
---Sarr------Bentancur---
-Kulusevski---Johnson--
---------Tel----------------

Maybe Bergvall for Sarr if Pape is still recovering from injury.
But this is EPL not U21 league.

I think we'll batter them tbh. First game I've been confident about in around 4 months. I fully buy into the narrative that we just needed a rest and some players back. We have that now so no excuses

Of course you do.

We might well produce a result. But United are as bad as us, so it won't really demonstrate much other than that they're another side who are in a terrible state.

The run after that (a tough trip to battling Ipswich, City, Fulham, Bournemouth, chavs) when we're 'fully fit' will show a lot more.

Yeah if we keep losing games and finish in the bottom half then you are right about us going nowhere and a change of management will 100% happen in the Summer.

But in the meantime, the priority has to be the Europa league and trying to go as far as possible! Realistically that is our only chance of saving this season!

I think we will get a result at Ipswich as well with 7 days rest.

City at home is usually a decent fixture for us but no matter how shit they are atm you can't really judge much from that.

Fulham away after a EL Thursday is the type of game we lost at the start of the season even when everyone is fit. Not really any point looking any further than that game but losing it would just be another mark against Ange's ability to get this squad back to it's best, regardless of what we do in Europe.

We’ll probably finish bottom half if we do win a few games.

We’ve won 4 home league games all season and the last one was three months ago. United are diabolical but we’ve lost to worse teams than them at home already.

It’s so hard to care about this game at all. I’m sure United feel the same. The game doesn’t really matter, which is humiliating for both clubs.
Christ. I know we’ve been bad but hadn’t realised how crap at home.
W4…D2…L6 12 games…14 pts. Just lucky that promoted teams are rubbish these days.
We were lucky to get through some of the Europa home games as well. Qarabag and Roma. Must be due a good performance soon.

One could almost call it a free hit ?

Might use this to get some of the idiot spurs fans near me out

We'll win because they are more shit than we are....a rest and some players aren't going to make a difference...just take a look at the last 18 months and especially the last 6 months..your optimism is laudable but your analysis is misplaced imo

We all know there will still be excuses
Well not for me anyway. We were missing 12 players against Liverpool and Villa and played both with no rest.

We should have 4 or 5 players back for United and the team have had a full rest. There is absolutely no reason why we cannot beat them this weekend other than Ange just not being good enough. The previous excuses were more than valid in my opinion. We've basically been without half our squad (missing at least 5 starters, potentially 6 or 7) for the last 3 months playing every 3 days. That is no longer the case this weekend. We will only be missing 3 or 4 starters and should have a stacked bench. With a week off we should see a big performance. If not then I'm wrong and we are not going to get any better under Ange regardless of personal!

I know people find this hard to believe but I actually don't have an agenda! I don't want to be taking sides.

My opinion all a long was that the injury situation was a valid excuse with games coming every 3 days. That excuse has now expired as we have a week off and players coming back. There is no excuse for not putting in a big performance this weekend and a big performance should get us 3 points.

In fact I dream of a world where Shadydan Shadydan and Doom Funk Doom Funk can live in harmony on here celebrating Spurs wins and agreeing on the direction the club is going in.

I'd love to see Deuterz Deuterz and Richard Arlison Richard Arlison agreeing on everything! I dream of this world. We might get there some day
