Yeah interested to know how others view our style of play and how they view other players, including Solanke fitting into that style.

Personally I don't think Solanke suits our style of play and I don't think our style of play suits Solanke.

His hold up play for one. His aggressive pressing from the front. And he has the ability for the hockey assist. Our overall play quality has diminished after his injury imo.

He certainly was, I got early rows seats for one of his performances and it was one of the best shows that I have been to.

Think he largely suits our style of play.. I'd say a striker in our system needs..
- great off the ball movement
- great finisher
- great header
- demon presser
- great holdup play

Of those Solanke has bottom 3, and is decent at the top 2 without being exceptional. This is actually why I think we can do without buying a striker in the summer and using Sonny as a backup 9 to play in situations that call for striker that is better at playing off the shoulder (great movement and finishing) than Solanke.

Ppl keep saying Sonny is a better winger but I don't think he is in this system..

If you compare last season to this season.. Which one was Sonny better in?
And which position did Sonny largely play in last season? And which position has Sonny largely played in this season?
^ if this doesn't answer the question on which position Sonny is best at in this system, then nothing does

Anything but a lucky win, there is no such in the PL

I describe it as a deserved win, you may ask why? Because on the day, Spurs had the player/players to score while Manu didn't have the player/players to take their chances.

I know I am out of tune here but that is my favourite result. 1-0 is a statement win we have done enough to beat you now come at us and try us. I remember the Wigan game where we scored for fun great at the time but next season they parked the bus (was it a draw I know we didn't beat them).
Incredible to see what was greatness end up worse than us.
