Does he finally get sacked if we lose today?

Nah, it’s clear now that Levy isn’t willing to sack him before the end of the season.

Not because he believes in him but because it will be too awkward to get the manager we want now and appointing Ryan Mason again will show everyone that he has no idea what he’s doing. So he will keep Ange there for now and hope for a miracle in Europa League.

Even if we win the Europa without a huge upswing in league form I’m sure Levy will find a new manager for next season. He won’t give hundreds of millions more to a manager who loses 2 out of 3 matches.

Was just looking at the table: Leicester and Ipswich have won just seven games between them all season - Spurs contributing to two of those victories (at home!). Disgraceful stuff.

Lose and underperform today and it becomes the stuff of pure farce. Simply incredible to still be employed.

No.

Levy has been taken in by the injury crisis and will give him till the end of the season.

I suspect he's here for the whole season as long as we're not in the bottom three.

Agreed. If he wasn’t sacked after Leicester Everton or both cup exits, he’s here for the season unfortunately

I think he’s here until we aren’t in the EL at best.

If he wins it he’s surely got until at least October and the first break next season? As much as I want him gone, success surely extends a bit of favour from the board.

If we keep losing league matches and end the season 16th then I don't think winning the Europa would save him, at least it wouldn't at a serious elite club. It would be a nice way to politely say goodbye and bring in a manager who can compete in the league.

But then again this isn't a serious club or an elite club, because we have such a small-team mentality winning the Europa probably would mean Ange is venerated as the greatest Tottenham manager in living memory and he'd be given a 10 year contract as a reward.

I think he's gone whatever happens.

He's proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's a shit manager and an embarrassing blot in our history.

Don’t forget a statue or two!

On the other hand though. I can't see how Ange survives much longer to be honest.

Protests before the game today.

Levy will view that as directly because of the teams poor performance. He in his own words have said fans are fickle. He will know that if the team starts winning again, the protests will stop and fans will become happier.

The easiest way to do that is to sack Ange and bring in Iraola or a new manager.

I just can't see how someone as risk averse as Levy, has so much faith in this 60 year old Aussie bloke who has only ever won in tin pot leagues.

I just can't see it. It throws all logic out the window.

If he genuinely does last until the summer, the season review meeting will be dreadful, can't see how he surives that.

Other option is he has a clause which means no Europe, he's cheaper to sack, so Levy might be waiting for us to exit the Europa.
