So weird. As if we weren’t total shit against United as well and weren’t completely underwhelming during most of the EL so far.

Let’s beat a team better than AZ Alkmaar in Europe before we start discussing whether we’d enjoy it or not if we won the whole thing, eh?
You don't even watch the games anymore so how can you say we were total shit? You just come on here and read the comments and jump on any negativity you can

You can take any screenshot then of the season. I could even say we were 15th before the weekend so that is our Level under Ange.

Ange has too many flaws in his tactics to be a long term success.

Mate we were having a conversation about Spurs' injuries and what represents a "stable level" for Tottenham if you take the injury crisis out of the equation.

You seem to want to have a completely different discussion which is fine but, you know, butting into other conversations and ignoring or changing the specific context of that discussion is pretty rude. 🤷‍♂️

I don't necessarily disagree with you about the flawed tactics but, you know, different discussion.

What are you talking about?

If referring to me saying the epic comeback in the CL semi was a high point of the last 10years, ummmm. We didn’t win anything else. Winning Europa this season would trump that, but we’re not even in the QF yet and form suggests we’ll need a miracle to get past that stage.

Also toe to toe knocking City out in the QF was superior to a Top4 finish, for me (and most others I’d think).

Before yours there are posts about “wouldn’t you rather be in a World Cup final, than win the nations league” and a few others implying it’s better to be in the Champions league final and come second than it is to win the Europa.

I’m saying I don’t agree, in those competitions I’d rather win a Europa league final than just compete in a champions league final.

On your points, I agree, beating Ajax, City and making the champions league final have been high points. My comment is referring to the actual winning vs competing in competitions chat above your post.

We had an injury crisis two seasons in a row so they have to be included. The only one outside the data is Vicario’s broken ankle. Excluding the injuries would be like going we are only going to judge Poch on games where Kane scored. The injuries are a part of the data. I don’t care how they happen.

Ange has managed to fool to many Spurs fans as his illusionary top tier form does not really exist.’

Yes, let's only talk about how shit things are and call Ange and people who we disagree with names.

Well we weren’t total shit against United. So that’s a lie. Don’t get me wrong, we weren’t great but we weren’t shit either. Not sure why you continually insist on exaggerating but give it a fucking rest.

Maybe try watching the games in future, there’s a good ickle boy.

My view is this.
If you're going to change your philosophy due to injury, then you already don't believe in your philosophy. Punters call him naive, but what is really going on, is he is imebedding it irrespective of the situation.

If you are the manager and you have seen the evidence, in other leagues, and against other teams (man u, city AND liverpool as wins) that the system works. You're not going to change.

You're also not going to revert to 'safe' just because there are injuries... Why? Well, whether you finish 6-16th it doesn't matter. Scrapping for a draw here or there.. is essentially meaningless. That is why he is not changing... it's short term pain for long term pain, and the average (and yes... i mean average) punter who is starved of 'expected' success - find it difficult to look at the long term, they want immediate evidence and success irrespective of context.

Ange already alluded to it in the press conference... it takes 2 years minimum to turn things around. We're 18 months in.
his philosophy is shit with the all time barca all stars. i don't think the ange outers are unfairly judging him with a threadbare squad, we're saying his football is shit no matter who plays.

Its very unlikely he gets next season. It would need a massive turnaround in results. I think every fan agrees on that. We'd need to win nearly all our games between now and May for Ange to still be here next season.

I think for some of us (me included), it always made sense to give Ange the season even when things were going all wrong. There were reasons outside of his control (missing around 10 players for majority of the bad results), and bringing in a new manager mid season is not ideal (mainly because the best options are not available until the Summer). I always expected our results to turn around once we got players back and that is still my belief so I was never worried about this relegation nonsense been spouted on here.

Keep calm, give Ange the season and reassess in the Summer. That was always the right play and nothing has changed!
the injuries saved his job. he would've been sacked as we fell away from top 6 if there wasn't an excuse to prop him up. then things got too bad to salvage any kind of good league position so levy decided to ride it out

If we win the Europa League then it will be our best ever season in my lifetime anyway! (Born in 1992!)
ffs. it was a magic night when your parents met. sasha was in top form!

Exactly, we were losing to Palace and Ipswich with all our players fit, if that had continued without the injury crisis to hide behind Levy would have brought the axe down 100%.

We were total Shit against United. They were just More Totally Shit than us. It's not an exaggeration it's more a true reflection

If you want to look at it that way sure. I'd argue we'd be a lot higher up the table if we didn't have all them injuries.

If we had a full squad all season and we were in the bottom half of the table then yes he'd 100% have been sacked. But thats not been the case. You can say the injuries saved his job but I think we'd be at least 10 points better off if we didn't have even half the injuries.

Sure look at the difference Vicario (missing for over 3 months) and Maddison made yesterday!

Yes, let's only talk about how shit things are and call Ange and people who we disagree with names.

We are shit, the footballs shit, our position is shit, we are out of all domestic cups because we’re shit, and we have no reason to believe anything will continue to be anything other than shit.

Sorry if that hurts your feelings but frankly you’ve been wrong all season so I couldn’t give a solitary fuck.

pretty much agree. we still look like headless chickens out there no matter who plays, but we have some talent and can overcome the shit tactics on our day. i like this squad and think we've made some great signings. i want us to win for the players and i hope the decision on ange has already been made and he's gone no matter how we finish the season. in a perfect world we finish on a high and thank ange for his service and launch him into the sun.

Ist paragraph...100% agree...just so sick of it all...3 pts is wonderful obviously but beating this unbelievably awful version of utd by one goal at home is nothing to crow about...points welcome but nothing really any different about the performance..
