Match Man City (H) – 26 Feb – 19:30 kickoff

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ever wondered why most Premier League games are so hotly contested until the final day of the season even by mid table teams out of relegation problems , bonus payments for league position is the reason, which are probably written into every PL players contract.
I am not sure it's purely for the dosh. English fans don't normally put up with players who don't try or give up.
Ipswich were still running around like blue arsed flies at 4-1 down.

Really hard game ahead in my opinion.

A draw is good.

Certainly will be goals.

If we had 2 players who possessed not just the quality of Salah and Van Dijk, but slso their calmness under the greatest stress we would win..

And I’m really not too sure the rules around playing ghosts in goal. Can imagine with the right training a powerful supernatural force could be an effective shot stopper.
Thinking outside the box there. Like your style.

However football management is not for everyone. Don’t give up the day job.
....is that where the phrase: "...the ball seemed to go right through him!" originates?

Fuck me.. I'm off to an after work, drinking and dinner at a sports bar tonight. And there is every opportunity to stay there and watch the game.. But, there is always a but. If I do, the last bus will have left when the game is over. I could always walk home but it will take me 2 hours.

What to do?

Edit: I'm too cheap for a taxi.

How much before the game end does the last bus take off?

If it is like 75th minute mark, you should be okay.
We'll be 3:0 up by then.
Or down with same scoreline, never know.
But not a draw at this stage anyway :P :D

Ask your buddies what they want to drink, go to the bar to order, then go to the toilet.
Somebody else pays for the round but most will think you paid for it.
Hey, presto-cab money and probs enough left over for a kebab.
I have never done this but one of my uncles and one of my mates got away with it a few times.

Nice that we can go strong here without worrying too much with 8 days between games. This is an important marginal game if we want a top half finish, the others being, in my opinion, Fulham, Wolves and Spam away and Villa at home, all winnable but very losable in the context of this season. Part of me looks at their hoodoo at the new stadium and their shit record vs us even with much better performing sides, coupled with how poor they've been of late, and is quite confident of a result, however this team must be getting a nosebleed with 3 wins on the bounce in the league and it would be very typical of Spurs, particularly under Ange to finally buck the trend and hand 3 valuable points to Guardiola in a difficult time.

Hoping we can maybe see Tel make use of his considerable pace with the additional space he will be afforded in this game by the current calamitous City defence, would like to see Odobert start as I feel a front 3 of Odobert, Tel and Johnson has pace to burn and can really hurt them on the break, unlikely to see Son dropped however. Really hope we move him out of the captain role next season so we can afford to bench him without it being a discussion.

Really looking forward to this tonight! Gonna get a Nandos delivered and have a few midweek beers as a treat! It’s nice to be excited about a game without worrying too much if we lose.

Next week I’ll be excited for AZ but also nervous with the added jeopardy of the importance on that game that tonight just doesn’t have

I love a Nandos! Butterfly chicken, spicy rice and chips - extra hot, thank you very much.
