Still don't understand why he didn't sound out if he's not feeling his best for so long. And also don't understand why Ange, or any coach, couldn't see how he's not performing and give him more rest/recovery time. It could all well be preventable. I can only shrug my shoulders at the ridiculously sqaud management. Ffs.

He probably just wanted to get his head down, soldier on and keep going to help the team. Could do with more of those in the squad really. We don’t know what the injury is yet though do we, could have been a contact one in training or a match rather than anything similar to what others have had.

More like a player being completely run into the ground by a foolish manager. Doesn’t he have the most sprints in the league? No surprise he got a stress fracture.

To ask Deki to run as hard as he does for match after match without a break is foolish. No other manager in the league puts those kind of demands on their players. They ask their players to run but they don’t ask their hardest runner to play 90 minutes match after match every 3 days.

He runs a lot with the ball for sure. Many on here complain he doesn’t do enough running off it when the other team have it. I haven’t noticed that as much, maybe because it seems like all of our players don’t work hard enough off the ball to get it back. Eg. Solanke seems to do the closing down up front, so what do the others do who always seem a second or so off the press.

Sometimes you just have to give a youth player a go. Would we really have been Welles during that spell if Ajayi had taken some of Demi’s minutes?

Other clubs don’t hesitate to use young players when there is an injury crisis, even if they aren’t great talents. Sometimes needs must.
...as the Elfsborg game proved!

I'd say once we're DEFINITELY safe in the League, then mix it up there... play SOME Kids/rest SOME 1st teamers.
The EL is pretty much the be all and end all of our season... And will define how 2024/2025 goes down in history....

30 years ago we were flirting with relegation ... Yes it was dramatic up until the penultimate week, but I wouldn't wanna go near that scenario again!!!

He rested him on our last game before he picked up an injury so poor example of complaining about squad management.

Yes, he was over played for a long period but thats what happens when you have 12-14 senior players available every game for 3 months and no midweek rest. It has equally effected Porro and Son's form too.

I mean he told us already he was starting games whilst being half fit so is anyone surprised?

So what we know for a fact is that this manager:

1) Made a player stay on longer then the medical team advised.

2) Started a player that was not fit enough and shouldnt have played.

3) Started a player in numerous games despite him being "40% to 50% fit"

What exactly are we doing here? we're all jusy going to play dumb and act shocked that Kulusevski is now injured??

Its ironic that he finally picked up an injury after getting a full week rest before United, full week rest before Ipswich, and then got benched against City. So when we finally got a chance to manage his load, he gets injured!

Doesn't suit the narrative/agenda on here but there is a damning fact.

you can't be that slow? i absolutely refuse to believe it.

When Kulusevksi was talking about being 40% fit do you not think he was insinuating he might be carrying small injuries/niggles here and there?

Based on how the manager operates and previous instances of this i'm of the opinion that this is the case and Kulu was probably carrying something before but soldiered on.

So you think Ange should be going around the changing room saying "Hands up if your not feeling 100%" while we had 12-14 senior players available and fans were demanding him to be sacked if we lost the next game? Which games would you have rested him in? Same applies for Son and Porro who were also playing through fatigue. Please go back through the run, look at the players we had available and tell me what games you would have rested them all in.

It was a crazy run of fixtures while we were missing up to 10 players most games for nearly 3 months. Of course this meant that all the players available were suffering from extreme fatigue and not anywhere near 100%. Hence, why I always blamed the injury crisis for every poor performance during that run and couldn't believe people expected Ange to turn it around during that period.

Wha wha wha!!! wait a second about stating things as 'Facts'

1) Made a player stay on longer then the medical team advised.

Are you going on what Kulu said or the Medical Team??? please post the evidence of the medical teams findings if they did as I missed that

2) Started a player that was not fit enough and shouldnt have played.

Again I ask the same for above - My god kids play football (it's not the same I know but hear me out) they pleaded with their coach to play one week even though I knew they have had the shits for a week but they still scored & won the game. They are now better :)

3) Started a player in numerous games despite him being "40% to 50% fit"

This maybe the only 'Fact' but that's not an issue at all as long as you manage that within the game & training - even Thierry Henry & lots of other retired footballers have gone on record record saying they will play games even though they know they're not at even 50% but can make a difference - even Vicario refused to be subbed when he had a broken foot during Man City.

Dude we've agreed on a lot but you're packaging hear say into what you call 'Facts' unless of course, you can supply evidence - I don't like it when people magically transfer themselves into another person's head & assume things as if they're facts.

1) Ange himself stated he was advised by the medical team to play VDV for only 60 minutes max against Chelsea....he played 80 minutes.

2) Ange himself stated that Sarr was not fit enough to play a game (think Leicester) and shouldnt have been involved. He started the game.

3) Self explanitory.

All are Facts.

Thank you for explaining this I was merely questioning so no animosity at all :)

Did he say that in a presser??? I don't watch all the Pressers religiously even when I was a kid & to be frank I honestly don't think I ever will.

I thought you were talking about Kulu specifically so apologies for my mixed wires on point 1 so thank you for straightening that out.

Point 2 - again I don't mind any manager playing a man on the field on a starting that's not 100% because subs exist but I do get your point.

Point 3 - It's not really as my retort was every manager has done that but the issue is how you manage it during the game - I don't like Ange's use of subs as he subs WAY TOO LATE for me (said many times here)

Thank you though!

The club have put him on all the promotional messages for tomorrows game, which they don't do if a player is injured or suspended.

I'm not sure that being on promotional material guarantees his availability either tho mate.

Maddison was on the promo stuff for a game then ended up out for 3 weeks.

I think what this fanbase is slowly starting to clock onto is how often players at this level are playing WITH knocks by this stage of the season. We have reached that point in the season where they can either:

1. Play through the pain (probably with injections for the pain) and likely try to get through the season and recover in the summer

or

2. Stop playing and take a few weeks out then try to return with the knock causing them less pain.

It won't be only Spurs players doing it. There will be players in this situation in probably every big-earning league in the world and likely every major sports league in the world. Especially in clubs where there is something important riding on the next few weeks of games. The decision will probably be week to week as well.

If I was guessing Kulusevski has been playing through pain for a few weeks during this injury crisis and now that players are returning he's deciding what he wants to do with his foot.
