And beat the big two to title. Plus in the 50s to 80s Scotland had great record of producing great managers. It’s not like Oz which great managers have come out of there?

indeed, only great footballing nations produce the greatest of managers 💪

Bottom line is he isn't good enough and would be a mistake to give him next season.

He should have been gone months ago.

I agree with this assessment entirely.

Postecoglou says many of the right things but something is wrong with his methods, the delivery and the translation.

The injuries have been freakish, and no manager could have presided over brilliance in that time, but before they arrived we were bang average, off the back of not being anything special in the last 4 months of last season.

Once we are out of the Europa, and only those in fantasy land will believe we can navigate a path to glory, then he should be relieved of his duties.

We need hope. This guy cannot provide the antidote.

It's especially funny to see people who are extremely critical of Levy in general big Ange up, in an attempt to establish a false dichotomy between Levy the villain and Ange the hero. If Levy is as big of a novice in footballing matters as they claim then, other things being equal, him unearthing a hidden gem that is Ange is much less plausible than Ange being an absolute failure of an appointment. Other things might obviously not be equal in this particular case, but the burden of proof is on those who think Levy somehow got it right this time. That's just what the principle of parsimony dictates.

What's been happening on the pitch for almost the entirety of Ange's tenure only reinforces the opposite notion, that Levy got it -horribly- wrong once again. If you want to continue defying common sense and some other fundamental principles of logic by singing Ange's praises go ahead.

Managers with the most premier league titles.

1. Ferguson - came from backwater Scottish league.
you have absolutely no idea as to what an achievement it was to get Aberdeen winning titles over Celtic and Rangers. Oh and beating Real in a final and Bayern M on the way. They then won the Super cup.

A year or so earlier they knocked Ipswich out of the EUFA cup. Ipswich were one of the best teams in the country at the time, were EUFA cup holders and should also have won Div 1 when Villa pipped them.

Comparing Fergie at Aberdeen to Skippy is just nonsense.

4. Wenger - from Japanese league.

Looks like Anges past is fine. If he’s not up for it, it’s not because of his pathway.
Completely ignore that was at the start of the J League where they throwing around money for relevancy at the time.

Also the SPL was more relevant at the time with Scottish Teams winning European Trophies.

Listening to one of the youtube channels yesterday and they said VDV, Romero and Solanke are back.
With the return of Vicario, Madison, Udogie, Odobert, Johnson and Moore against United the other week as well, that's a whole team of players coming back.

But we'll probably lose 10 more in the next few games.

Which reminds me of the one and only NFL match I've ever watched where it seems they substitute the entire team every play/phase :roflmao:

Did you forget, or just not know that Wenger had managed Nancy and Monaco for years and years before he went to Japan?
At Nancy he revolutionised the game with things like dieticians and changing training methods that still hold true now. They were relegation fodder and he got them to 12th. He moved players into different positions and transformed their careers. Ultimately, they had no money and eventually went down but he then goes to Monaco.
At Monaco he signed a little known English player - Glen Hoddle on a free and won the title in his first season. He then brought in George Weah the next season. He had an eye for talent and the ability to make players better.
He went to Japan because he was in bed with Fifa even then, and he was working to make "emerging nations" better.
He wasn't there because he didn't know what he was doing, he was a bona fide quality coach that was wanted by many of Europes top teams.

It's a fucking shame Hoddle didn't recommend we go balls deep to get him, but I guess he was too busy being in charge of Chelsea.

I can't wrap my head around how fucking dense they all are to think winning a pub league with a pub team translates to the most elite football in the world.

It's like saying a Corsa is the same as a 911 GT3 RS as they're both cars.
And going one step further, and thinking the Corsa could beat the GT3RS at the ring because it won a race against a Fiesta once.

What Fergie did with Aberdeen is a much better achievement than winning titles with one of the old firm clubs .

Even when he was younger he still believed in the hair dryer treatment

After a poor game he had a rant at the whole team ending with him kicking the kit trolley with a pair of socks ending up on one of the players heads who was too frightened to move them !

Alex then bollocked him for sitting there like a cunt!!

Lots of stories apparently!

Ferguson's time in Scotland was when the Scottish league was a million times more competitive than it is now. He also one a cup winners cup and I think a title with Aberdeen - Its a completely different time to now when any fool can win with Celtic. Postecluless is still a terrible choice as manager and he's proving it with each bad result

I have a weird feeling we have an ok end of the season and he stays.

Then we have a decent season next year with no European football, playing once a week and we scrape through as top 7. then the following season is an absolute mess like this one.

Get rid now we have squad good enough to finish top 6 this geezer is ruining us

Don't be too cruel that little list he threw up fully outted his own ignorance about world football. None of the achievements are comparable it's embarrassing.
