If Levy wants to go cheap and unknown again then Kjetil Knutsen at Bodø/Glimt should be considered. Plays great, attacking football and has gotten some huge results in Europe over several years with a tiny club. I have no idea if he even wants to coach abroad, but I remember it was reported that Brighton looked at him before De Zerbi was appointed.

So did Jose. That idea of just airlifting in a “winner” has been proven to be bullshit. We need someone to come in and set a culture, coach and develop players, embed a system. All the things Ange was supposed to do, but it’s just all unravelled in nothing.
Fukkin hell you just answered the million-pound Spursy question this season.

AKA instil a Winning Mentality!

Also the Owls aren't what they seem!

there's the Vibranium road block right there, that's got to come from ENIC. But the culture is it's ok to lose as long as we make 4th

I want this aussie fraud gone as much as anyone. I'd even accept Ryan Mason for a couple of months, because let's face it no decent manager is gonna leave their current club at this time of year.

The time to have done it would've been after losing to Ipswich and Bournemouth before Christmas, which would've given a new man a chance to assess the squad before the transfer window, but alas Levy and his wisdom or lack of didn't think it was time.

I'm just fed up of going into every game expecting us to lose. I pine for the days like the Poch/ Redknapp era when I went into matches expecting to win, not just hoping. Playing some of the best football in the league, being feared. We may not have won anything, but we were actually taken seriously as a club, but now we're just a laughing stock.

The sad thing is on a personal level is that I am losing interest in THFC. I've became numb to it all and I want change, but it has to be the right change to happen before I give up altogether, and just stop caring after 45 years of support 😢.

not sure about that, we were still the butt of many jokes. Harry Kanes lion post, 3rd in a 2 horse race, getting knocked out of the europa by Gent, not getting to any finals when we finished 2nd. zero trophies with the press and media constantly saying kane, son, dier, alie, eriken, walker etc etc needed to leave to win things. we were got plenty banter i recall.
The only respite I can think of is when we beat ajax in the semi final.

now we're so shit that its just low hanging fruit and not that funny

I get what you're saying but like I said, even though we may not have won anything, and with the side that we had during that period that is a certainly a travesty, I still say that we were taken seriously and gave everyone a match.

That last year at the Lane for example, I guarantee that not one team would've fancied their chances playing us there. Going unbeaten at home all season is not something to be sniffed at.

Do you think anyone fears us nowadays.

Well we can change that culture because we won’t be finishing 4th any time soon with this callow squad.

well there's even been some debate that he doesn't care about CL that much even now the Stadium is in full swing, match day revenues and the extra events is more than doing the heavy lifting. Any old European comp will do

think it will be pre poch enic stuff from here on out tbh. the odd "good" season of finishing 5th or 6th but lots of nothing mostly. no trophies, no competing

think I'm finally starting to accept what we truly are this season tbh, and im learning not to care at all

I wonder with all this modern data led recruitment do they actually do aptitude testing on players.
They can have all the flair and skills etc but if they have no mental fortitude and resilience what’s the point in signing them.
Take Johnson for example his whole demeanor screams feeble. When we are in a tight spot he just disappears and has that pained gawky expression on his face.

I think Xavi would be the ideal candidate for a number of reasons. As we've been investing in the future, Xavi has experience of the Barca model, integrating La Masia players and developing them. Gavi and Pedri became midfield linchpins, Balde established himself at left-back. He brought in Yamal at 17 and Cubarsí at 18. López also got a lot of game time too. You might argue that our young prospects aren't the same calibre, but we can only play with what we've got. Xavi's reputation would also convince some players to stay who might want out after the ange clownshow.
Failing getting Xavi, I'd go for Simone Inzaghi.
I think Iraola is going to receive a lot of better offers than us this summer.
