Very industrious midfield. Very little creativity there and a shit load of brain farts waiting to happen. Let's playing starting midfield bingo...

1. Yellow card
2. Two Yellow cards
3. Three Yellow cards
4. 1 red card
5. Concede a penalty
6. Lose marker at a set piece that leads to a goal
7. Score an own goal
8. Blaze high and wide from inside the box with no Bournemouth player near them
9. Injury to one of them
10. Injury to two of them
11. Injury to all three of them

I'm going 2, 5, 6, 8, 9

Why doesn’t he ever think of playing two up top with madders behind in the hole and 3 in midfield. Keep the FBs wide and not inverted. I’d say we’d play a lot better as have two wide players in a front 3 doesn’t work for us as they are crap.

And fuck Johnson off to the bench!

I'm not arguing with you... I want to see him play in midfield but I don't see Ange putting him there in a big game when he hasn't played there all season.
I’m not arguing either lol. I was just asking literally, like we bought him to be a midfielder and in that case you’d say Bergvall has probably moved ahead with his development.

Gonna be a similar story today with BJ in the staring lineup. Nothing substantial down the right and you just hope he contributes a tap in goal because there won’t be much else from him. Porro will likely have to bypass him which he’s capable of doing with a long ball to the others up top. Midfield isn’t all that inspiring, nobody in there to really break the lines.

Only the 2nd time this season we've started a midfield 3 of Bissouma, Bentancur and Sarr. The 1st was the 4-0 loss to Liverpool in the EFL Cup Semi-Final 2nd leg.

A more studious midfield trio, 2 pacy wingers on the flanks, 2 fullbacks ready, willing and able to bomb forward, and a striker willing to drop deep to link up the play. This XI has all the makings of a nice counter team actually. I don't see it happening with Ange though obviously.
