Nothing that happens at Bayern, short of winning the CL, is impressive, for anyone. Until last years' debacle, they had won the league 11 straight times.

Their payroll is 2.5X their nearest league competitor and nearly equal to the 3 next highest spending clubs combined. Their wage bill accounts for 27% of all Bundesliga wages.

It's a 1 club league.

Kompany's naive tactics work when you have a squad exponentially more talented than and athletically superior to their opponents.

It was a 1 club league. It's not now. The payroll thing is a valid point but right now they are against a Leverkeusen team that is the exception to the rule.

They have their best points tally in the league at this stage for a decade I think. Rolling in the CL as well.

But who realistically can we get that will work with all the red flags that come with the job .Guys will come who don't mind sticking it out till they get their pay off but serious ambitious guys on the up will most likely give us a wide bearth. Everyone in football know how Levy works .

As I see it there is a number of candidates to Replace Ange:

Andoni Iraola, as we saw today. He tactically crushed Ange.

Kieran McKenna, background in Tottenham, took Ipswich from League one to Premier League in two seasons.

Sebastian Hoeness. Stuttgart. Plays modern German football, took Stuttgart to second place last year.

I'm going with McKenna, knows Tottenham, has premier league experience, plays exciting, and organised football. Took Ipswich from League One to Premier League in two seasons

Did he?

Gave up a 2-0 in 30 mins against a drastically out of form team. I'm hoping we are aiming for higher yardsticks than that for tactical masterclasses.

Are you worried that he doesn't have the charisma to work with big-time players? The younger players will be fine but lower league promotions won't help you with players who have won major honours. If you don't have that on your CV you need to have something else to get them to buy in. Does he have that "aura" as the kids call it?

Are their any experienced managers who have been successful out there that would come and do a job for even for a couple years? ,I can't really think of a suitable available guy .

A fluke goal and a peno. Plus they should have been 3 up at half time. Only for vicario and poor finishing

Xavi and Terzic fit that bill. Poch has said he'd come back.

But tbh, I think the whole club, fans included need to put all of our opinions to the side and make one really massive push for Thursday now. Leave the replacement manager chat until after that.

We don't need to be positive about Ange, we don't need to be positive about the players, we don't need to be positive about the owners but we do need to be about something bigger than ourselves which is the club.

I hope the fans that go on Thursday night can take all of the anger and frustration from our season and channel it all into making it really fucking hostile for AZ. Send them home with memories of what Tottenham fans can be all about when we want to.

I'm sorry mate. I just can't take you seriously anymore.

Our first goal was a complete thunderbolt that couldn’t have been stopped.

Our second goal came from his goalie being a complete tit and giving away a penalty.

I don’t think you can blame him or his system for either of our goals

Didn't we hit the post twice as well and Sarr had a chance as well? Not seen the chances but saw the key moments on individual clips.

Either way, doesn't really matter, they blew a 2-0 lead and Spurs fans aren't the types to accept excuses about thunderbolts or GKs being tits when you drop points. If he was our manager and dropped those points from 2-0 up with 30mins to play, he would be hearing all about it, that's for sure.

In fairness I don't think a definitive call could be made on today's match about the suitability or not of Iraola to be our next manager think we need a bigger sample .Very much doubt the likes of Xavi would be interested in us .

This is not true at all, I don't know why you people keep exaggerating Levy's involvement in the disaster the last 18 months have been.

We've had better management with massively better results.

Spurs have not been this bad since Ramos. Spurs have never paid this much money to be this bad.

We need an ownership change, yes, but that does not at all mean we're 13th in March because of Levy (other than the fact he hired, and hasn't sacked, a complete fraud).

No manager in Spurs history has done so little with so much as Ange.
And we won what?
Ans - 1 league cup
Its all of it, Levy, bad management, poor signings, not backing managers at crucial times. It all boils down to Levy in one way or another, the guy just lucked out on Poch ( who never won a final )

They may be big-time players in their own minds ; but what apart from Romero and Son ( both in international comps ) have any of them actually won in their glittering careers to date ? Genuine question.
