If we go out on Thursday they ABSOLUTELY 10000% need to give the new coach some games this season to assess the squad,

There are unemployed candidates like Xavi and Terzic who we don’t need to wait for and most of the ones that we might deem worth waiting for won’t come to Spurs anyway.

thought it was Iarola? there's no way he's leaving 2 months before the season end.
dont see Levy going for Xavi who's only managed barca, Terzic possible but i bet Levy would prefer prem experience this time, he's reactionary like that. plus the fans aren't gonna like his boring football
it would 100 percent be mason till the summer....personally i'd rather Ange see out the season than Ryan Mason.
Death by drowning or Death by burning

Even if the new coach doesn't arrive immediately there is no point having Ange play his strongest team every week trying to 'save his job' if he's already going.

Its a perfect time to give some opportunities to some of the ex-academy players to assess if they can step up: Mikey and Dane starting some matches for sure, Ajayi, Olusesi and others perhaps off the bench. Lets see Tel as a winger and make that decision as well.

Would Mason and Wells really do any worse?

I’m not certain Iriola is the right move. Dealing with levy means we need a manager who is adaptable as he has to work with what he’s given. I think we need to look at a manager who is tactically flexible and not wedded to a set of tactics or principles. We’ve gone down the other route so many times and it doesn’t work. Those managers set in their ways seem to fair even worse than others.

If it is Iraola they want then the last window to do it mid season was after Villa FA cup. You are right that he’s not leaving for the run in.

The problem for Iraola is that Bournemouth are on a poor run of results and if they don’t fix it then their season, and as a result, Iraola doesn’t look so impressive. Then we stuck in the classic Tottenham indecision zone for most of the summer where we fuck away the whole transfer window sorting the coaching staff and it leads to a slow start that the fans just have to understand because the new coaching team just arrived…

Why would Wells and Mason change anything?

I’m pretty sure they are both bought into what Ange is trying to build and more likely to just carry it on.

I think that Silva or Frank would work better under Levy than Iraola. Silva in particular since he is tactical and adaptable.

I get why Iraola is appealing tho.

Totally agree. Whilst on the face of it sacking him when the seasons done might feel a bit pointless its a case of taking out the trash. I think it would be a massive relief to fans and players alike.

Even with Mason i'd expect a small upturn in results. Plus as you say he's much more likely to try a youngster or 2 and play Gray as a DM, just mix it up a bit and see what they can do. I reckon there are more potential positives trying that than just plodding on with Postecoglou doing the same things with the same players for 10 more games.

The podcast is getting worse by the episode... this week's gem...if Ange had Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets instead of Bissouma, Bentancur and Sarr then Angeball would work and we would smash everyone... the podcast use to be quite entertaining but they are running low now. No fault of theirs. It's what this club does. It destroys anything organic and good.

Guys and gals,

I made an account here because of Ange, yes I am Australian. Felt like I couldn’t post here because some hard arse cunt tried to tell me that the league cup was coveted by “everyone in England”. Also feel like Ange should have left in November 2024 on his own sword when we were trying to play some ridiculous inverted counter attack football where our formation ends up 0-9-1 to justify a decades worth of bullshit neglect and an insistence you can survive 4 competitions with 23 players

I’ve also supported Tottenham since Martin Jol’s fucking lasagne episode thanks for a friend of mine I grew up with in a Jewish family that bled lilywhite to death, there’s a ridiculous picture of me with long hair losing my shit when we won the old Carling in ‘08 posted by the OzSpurs crew that went as close to viral as you can get back then here in Australia

I didn’t want Ange to come here - not because of him being up to it, but his legacy was with Celtic and should have stayed that way, and let’s be honest, we’ve slagged off every manager since Jol. First year we’re gonna win the league, give it 6 months the manager is a fraud but hey, two of them are about to win a trophy and the third is earning a fortune currently watching some fucken Yanks sunbathe in Miami

Ange’s faults have always been he is too stubborn and he sees the light at the top of the hill too much. Dropped my Aussie club in a heartbeat for a national gig, dropped Celtic for us. Australia won an actual real continental cup where we didn’t have to play fucking Tonga or Fiji off his own bat. They were known quantities though, compare those first “10 games that cannot be mentioned” with the dross we’ve had to watch, well the management hasn’t changed, that little Melbourne Heart Minn cunt that measles his way into a football director job didn’t help either given he spent $200m to save it only to sell it to Man City for about $50m, but hey whose fucking counting at the moment?

At what point though do you all say we have to own this? We’ve got cunts here saying Son is scum and is a passenger, Mickey is a fraud, World Cup winner Romero somehow sucks. This isn’t even a pot shot at Levy either, the whole club is fucked from top to bottom - to dare is to do but we haven’t dared since Poch and the one bit we had to execute the “to do” bit the same fuckheads were saying it was painful to watch the “to do” under practically every manager since 2021

Get Iraiola or Silva which keep being mentioned - you honestly think Marco would last two months when he was chased out of Merseyside in half a year with a cunt squad? Iraiola would do what Nuno tried to do and at this point we’d all be calling for his head

We had a taste of the glory, we didn’t do the hard yards. Like with Ange, we’ve built up and annihilated every single person that has attempted to fix this cancerous culture. He has to go, but fuck me look at the causes, not the symptoms

And to all the hard arses calling him an “Aussie fraud”, “fat cunt”, “go back to Greece” one of you heroes the other day even said halfway through the Bournemouth game you were gonna hit him when he was 80 - yeah you’re real hard cunts, Hope you’re proud of it

The fix starts from the fans, we need to be better, otherwise the Iraiola thread will be bigger than this

I tend to agree but I always try to put myself in the shoes of the people who still want to keep Ange. They hang onto those first ten games but honestly we beat the three relegated teams needing a 100th minute goal to beat one of them, Bournemouth, Fulham, Palace, 9 man Liverpool with a goal in the 96th minute and a Man U in decline. There was some good in there and it was not wrong to get excited but there has been enough evidence since then to suggest that was the exception rather than the norm. For me, the norm is chaotic, unstructured football. There must be a game plan but it's so difficult to see. The players look like they are a combination of confused, devoid of confidence and simply out of form. This is squarely on Ange. I'm amazed none of Levy, Munn or Lange see this... if they do then their negligence in letting it continue is more concerning than Ange doing the same shit over and over again. In short, the next window of opportunity is Friday. If we get knocked out Thursday and he's still in charge at the weekend then for me, it's a clear sign Levy will give him another season.

Excess amounts of injury time and an owngoal from a Liverpool player papered over the cracks. We struggled to breakdown a Sheffield United team that lost their next game 8-0 at home and a Liverpool team with 9 men.
We also ground out the results against Fulham, Palace and Luton. They were not the "angeball" the fans all claim is so great.

Since then we have played 56 games and taken 74 points for an average of 1.32ppg
On average that's a 50 point season.
23/24 = 10th
22/23 = 11th
21/22 = 11th

It's just who we are, mate.

Football fans arent the most rational people tbh.

Look at my post at fucken 10:00 pm Hobart time after ghosting this entire forum for a year

Half the cunts in this thread are glory hunters that reckon a half cocked side with Sol at the front by himself and Son looking for a zimmer frame after playing the entire season without support is gonna reach top four

That match where 20 fat fucks slag him off against Everton when he’s literally begging for forgiveness is fucking embarrassing. Clapped club whore Maddison but who burnt two clubs in Norwich and Leicester

Not a dig at Maddison either, ones done a job for us and the other has been here for 5 mins
