Juande Ramos Dishes Out the Home Truths

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He did well out wide and so did our results - he only moved central when we had to accommodate Bale towards the last 5-6 odd games in the 09/10 season.

Exactly, I believe the central midfield partnership at the time was Palacios and Huddlestone which that season did well before Palacios' brother died and when Huddlestone was using his skill set to its fullest.

Seems many years now we always overloaded with midfielder and short of striker. Perhaps some one up there think the false 9 formation is the best formation :)

Do you just make things up and hope no one remembers?
Modric played CM in Harry's very first game in charge...the 2-0 win at Bolton in October 2008
Are you honestly denying Modric played out wide under Arry - you can't be serious right?

Here our results from from 09/10 (Arry's best season, imv) - Modric played every single game out at LW when fit except the last 3-4 when Bale had to be accommodated

Palacios was signed in January...and Modric partnered him the middle in Harry's first season on a regular basis.

Saying Modric moved central at the end of 09-10 season is utter bollocks, and not sure how you can agree with it.

He played central in Harry's first game, and in the 4-4 v the Scum etc.....he played CM with Wilson in the 0-0 v Scum at WHL in Feb 2009.

Who played out left Sammy?

No, Ive already said he did.

You said he didnt play in the middle til the end of the 09-10 season, which is bullshit.

He played there regularly in 08-09.

Now there will be a big argument because you are wrong and pointed it out, and instead of saying "oh yeah", you will deny everything.

I said Harry played Modric out LW to great succes which you denied and then proceeded to quote a few random games from Arry's early tenure to justify your opinion

Fact is - Modric played LW and did so very well - the original point of this discussion

er... ok which season are we talking about now? 09/10 or 08/09? Just so I can get my bearings.
He played number of games out at LW during 08/09 as well

But that original point was about his 'success' in that specific position not the number of appearances per se, which to be quite honest was rather outstanding

Perhaps you haven't been following the club as well as I have but I remember the post-match interview with Woodgate the game before he was sacked where Woodgate made it abundantly clear that the players weren't happy and were not supporting the manager.

His cup win is what it is. But his league form was a disgrace and his interview stinks of revisionism.
Apparently the team used to stay in a hotel the night before home games and Woodgate was actually staying at that hotel. Ramos still made him travel to the ground and get the coach to the hotel with the rest of the squad even though he was staying there!

I said it worked. I dont think it was to "great success".

Modric in the middle was a great success. And he played there as early as 2008.

The first time he payed in the middle was NOT the end of 09-10. Fact.

That has nothing to do with your original assertion of Ramos playing Modric out of position - Arry did the same to great success

After he had played him in the middle....his natural position, which allowed him to come to terms with the PL.

Ramos played Modric out of position (LW) from day one, and he was shit there as he was out of his depth.

That was my point. Harry played him LW after he had played him CM. Modric had well found his feet before being moved out wide.

That is why I think Ramos was a prick.
