Much tougher test than last night.

This fixture last season was when I started to question Ange. We got stuffed and he just stood there and changed absolutely nothing. Stood there like a tit in a trance.
Don’t think we will get stuffed but I think the players know there is nothing to play for in the league . I reckon it will be a comfortable afternoon for Fulham. Not expecting us to cause them too many problems

Fulham 2 - 0

Risky starting Solanke but after this its international break. See what Tel can do on the left hand side with Solanke.

These games after EL and before the international breaks are the ones that derailed our season early on this year...

Most people probably stopped caring about PL, me too a bit but winning this will show that the team is improving and build serious confidence ahead of the first leg against Frankfurt

I put Gray in there because Fulham will look to mid block and hit us in specific areas. The obvious ones are in behind the FBs when we give it away and at the back post from crosses. Playing Gray RB means we get him inverted in the buildup but he is defensively much more switched on than Porro at the back post and less likely to get forward into those #10 areas as much.

Son getting a rest is obvious at this point. He can come off the bench for Solanke around 70mins and move Tel to CF.

Bergvall and Maddison came off early so should be fine and Sarr pretty much doesn't get tired anyway. No need to mess with a MF3 that finally looks balanced.

I'd like to see same back 5 as last night but bring Bentancur in for Sarr and maybe Tel for Son. We should try and play a strong side... does feel like this could be a Brentford away type game. This game will tell us a lot about player mentality. Still want to see them put in effort for PL even though we can't do anything. Winning and playing well creates belief and confidence which we can carry into EL.

Fulham 3 - 1 Spurs...

I'd bring Scarlett on for Solanke around the 70/80 minute type mark as he's a much better fit than Son or Tel as a CF. Probably leave Tel on as LW unless he's tiring and give Son a break - he's really not up to playing twice a week so no need to give him time off the bench unless we need to.

The Cottage is a happy hunting ground for THFC. Only lost one in our last 9 visits.

Eh? That shows us losing our last two there, including the most important of the lot - a cup game in a season where we didn't have Europe and could have gone on a proper run, only would've had to beat Norwich/Ipswich/Everton after that to be in a semi-final.

I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo what the hell am I doing here?

If the team turn up we should get a result, we need WINNING MENTALITY

I think Sunday is the time to try Gray out in DM... especially if VDV & Romero both start again...

Try it for 45 mins at least, just to see if he's ready to take on that role longer term.

We still have Bentancur, Sarr & Bissouma as options, but we already know what they can/can't do in that position...

Maybe the relative 'luxury' of playing a reduced jeopardy Premier league game against decent opposition is the perfect opportunity to bed Gray into what is widely perceived as his favoured position!!
